i Have a 79 Ghia 1600 imported in 1979 as a kit from the UK, Assembly and Sold by Ford Uruguay S.A for my Country (Uruguay)

My father had two mk.2s (as well as a mk.3) as company cars, the 2nd one was a '79 'V'-reg & I remember the "hounds tooth" upholstery pattern inducing car travel sickness in me as an 11 year old lol.

Thanks for putting this one up - I have a 1980 Mk2 L, which has always proved reliable in the 7 years and 50,000kms I've driven it (and theres many more ahead)... As for specification differences though, my 'L' has chocolate brown vinyl seats rather than 'houndstooth' fabric (fabric must have been a 'delete' option), and the bumpers are plain, without the black inserts.
