@@valienterf A good friend just bought a fully loaded full size pickup and paid more for his than i did for my CT. He's a good guy he razzes me about buying my CT. We both laugh about it. We only live once and doesnt matter what you buy as long as you like it. It's all good.
like TESLA or not. or ELON man bad or NOT. what TESLA did was drop a BOMB on the LEGACY truck industry. TESLA has now set the NEW BENCHMARK. Legacy MUST follow Tesla , or go BANKRUPT. FUD motors looses over $130,000 on each Lightning & Mex-e sold.
ZACH , like many MERICANS suffer from Paradym Paralysis . the Whole concept of an ELECTRIC truck , is inconceivable to him & others. so , they go in BLINDED on what they DONT Understand . USA had Milk trucks as far back as 1890, that were 100% Electric.
Loved Zack's ability to be objective and honest about what he liked and didn't like and why. BS meter didn't even twitch once. Felt incredibly balanced and fair. Super cool dude. 😎
You should have asked Zack who drives 100 to 140 miles a day how much he spends on fuel a week? And then told him that charging at home overnight would roughly save him 80% of fuelling cost.
Probably should've asked an F150 owner from the country with a dirty bed. Those guys buy trucks for heavy work, not to feel cool like this guy did. Any real farmer or construction worker would say that steering wheel is egregious, along with the rest of the so-called truck. Cybertruck just isn't a practical vehicle. It's about as practical as a Honda Fit. It doesn't compare to real work trucks. -Bad build quality -Dangerous for pedestrians (Especially so, even among other modern trucks that are also dangerous) -Rear steer is worse than an old suburban -Can't offroad -Gets stuck in snow and mud -Rusts within just weeks without buying the $5000 coating -Dozens of ways to get bricked for no apparent reason (I've seen one as stupid as just washing the bed) -Bad interior ergonomics (Lacks physical buttons, a circular wheel, indicator stalk, light control, and wiper stalk as well as a good shifter) -Can't efficiently tow anything All in all, the cybertruck is a production failure and a joke. Tesla has fallen far. I always knew their engineers were idiots but this truck is another level I didn't think possible. Honestly, all they need to do is put back the stalks, some physical buttons, and a lever shifter. That's all you gotta do to make these cars decent and ergonomic. Right now, the quality of the cybertruck is far below average and is not worth $100000. That price is the most unbelievable part, honestly. Tesla is a joke of a car company.
@@websitemartian I don't hate EV's, but I do think they have a place and so far people don't understand that. They work well as city commuters due to their long charge times and low range. I also think that a lot of agencies around the world have lost the plot a little. Banning ICE cars is not a good move. Also, I am very much right wing and have no problem with Elon Musk as a guy. He's ambitious. I just don't like his products specifically.
Not having the stalks isn’t too bad once you get used to it. It’s all muscle memory. I have a Tesla without the stalks, another Tesla with the stalks, and a gas vehicle with stalks as well. If I drive the Tesla without stalks after about a week or so then try to get in the other Tesla or gas vehicle with stalks, it takes me a minute to get acclimated using the gift shifter and turn signals again. It’s crazy how the brain works sometimes.
That was my first thoughts too... The lightning has a better suspension, silent, has much better performance, and more tech to what he is currently driving. Would be curious to see if he would choose the familiarity of what he has or go Cybertruck.
@@darpompie4354 Does it (have a better suspension)? I honestly don't know -- is it an adjustable air suspension for the Ford? That CT turning radius though pretty cool.
Essentially , the FUD Lightweight is built on SAME Horse & Buggy platform as the ICE F150. it cannot even go OFF ROAD as Stock . it needs off road parts to do that. Cybertruck has been to KING of Hammers, Hells Revenge , other places. ALL STOCK.
@@markplott4820 I bought the "FUD Lightweight" because I don't care about rock-crawling in Moab, and it accepts the huge selection of F150 accessories ... topper, BedRug, roof racks, etc. So outfitted, it can carry more cargo than CT and also be used as a camper. Although the CT is great, but it doesn't do everything best. 🙂
Let’s get an F-150 driver to review the Cybertruck and don’t actually do any truck things with it…. 🙄 Where was the hauling? Where was the towing? Did he even LOOK at the truck bed?
Zack two thumbs up. He is a regular guy and had an honest review. He resonates with me and I'm sure with your audience. He should definitely start his own channel. Good guy and nice video.
Zack is the man!!! He did a great job. Love the honesty. Sick of people that aren’t honest and have to lie to keep their original thoughts. Some people that saw CT on line and said they hate the look, but then see it in real life and they are blown away! That’s being honest. It’s ok to change your mind. This truck is a mind changer. All Teslas are mind altering. They prove the technology is amazingly better than ICE and economically they are better.
It would be glorious to have a spacious clean garage, solar, power walls, with a Cybertruck sitting in it. This truck will change the pickup market upside down. Just give it some time for the market to catch on.
I've owned a Tundra, a 2500 Denali, and a F350 Limited. I'm here to say, my Cybertruck is by far a superior vehicle. I've hauled a 36-foot Montana, heavy loads of cinderblocks, you name it. Can my CT pull a Montana? No. That is also the only limitation that bothers me, but it isn't meant for that. Does it use more power when pulling my Can-Am Maverick? Sure. But I don't mind stopping for "gas." That impatient part of my life has passed. It blows me away how many young guys who have a combustion truck mock away at the Cybertruck but have done NOTHING to understand its engineering or have ever driven it. I especially love the ones who still owe their dad for that loan they have on that F150 with a Slipknot sticker and want to mock. I wish they would stop following the crowd like a bunch of lemmings and maybe consider the possibility that Tesla might have just done something cool for trucks.
😂 for me it was the u turn. He was like woah I totally didn't expect that. Which he totally did. All things considered though it's nice to see these reviews
I took the rearview mirror out of my CT a couple of months ago and will not put it back in. Once you train yourself to use the screen, you have a better peripheral view of traffic to the front over the top of the screen rather than having to look up and to the right to use the mirror. It is now irritating when I drive the Model Y and the rearview is not on the screen. Rarely even use the side mirrors anymore with the turn signal cameras on the screen.
The rear steer can't even beat the turn radius of a 20 year old chevy suburban lmao, so no, it's not benchmarking anything. Drive by wire will also be costly and more complicated than need be for a pickup truck. Pickup trucks are designed for working and farming, not going to the grocery store while looking cool. Of course, the Cybertruck can't really beat any truck at anything aside from speed. Also, the 48 volt system is decades old. Nothing new.
Nice video thanks. I have a Cybertruck (very new 129## VIN) and an F150 King Ranch. The Ford is pretty dang amazing, so comfortable, and they really have the interior down. It is a little bigger in the backseat for sure which is nice but with both seats folded up on both of them, great utility. Plugs and such in the Ford are easily found, etc. But Tesla does their interior a bit more minimalist of course. The ride and steering are much better on the CT. The EV/acceleration and just comfort in ride are better on the CT. We have the PowerBoost V6 Turbo Hybrid that still has a 10 gear transmission and its jerky at times for sure. Blue Cruise is horrible overall but cruise/lane keep in general are good, but look forward to getting full AutoPilot on the CT, even FSD as well for some uses (definitely not all where we live in rural America). The CT while has a tough skin, does seem more delicate overall though, like it can't take as much of a beating with its bed and mainly plastic parts on the tailgate/bed rails, etc. so that is perhaps where it falls a little short as the toughest truck out there. Overall both are great - will take either one over the other options; especially anything from Stellantis/RAM ;-)
Thank you for sharing your opinions on your F150 and CT. I love how you are able to see the pros and cons in both trucks. I hate when people are closed minded and won't appreciate vehicles for everything that they offer.
If he's driving that many miles per day he'd be CRAZY for not getting an electric truck (if not a Cybertruck) and getting solar panels as well. just in fuel savings alone the truck would pay for itself in a few years, and that's not even considering oil changes and brakes. Not to mention the cybertruck's battery will probably last half a million miles and the motors even longer than that.
How do you figure? 150 miles a day is ~55k miles/year. Assuming 15mpg and 4$ gas, thats about 15k/year in gas. That’s 5-6 years of fuel for a 75-90k cyber truck. This is before you consider cost of depreciation of both vehicles. Doesn’t seem as cut and dry of a decision to me.
I'm a Tesla fan and I feel that he'd be better off with a CyberTruck that charges super fast or that new Chevy EV with 450 to 500 miles a charge that's coming out in a year or two. The gas and oil savings alone can buy another vehicle in the long run
I’m a Gen 3 raptor owner. Love my truck to death. Blows a lariat out of the water. Love our Y so much, I’d probably switch to a CT if they were readily available
@@Butter_EV just sold my Gen 3 Raptor to replace with CT. Had a Gen 2 Raptor before. Hoping to have my CT in the next couple weeks and should have a good sense of the differences between the two soon!
Zack was saying he liked squirckle better than traditional because of less having to turn the wheel but this doesn't have anything to do with wheel that is because of steer by wire you could achieve this with a normal steering wheel with steer by wire. I would pick squirckle because of the top part as to the yoke. I wish I could replace my steering wheel with the squirckle on my refreshed M3 LR that would be awesome. This is my first EV and I absolutely love my car. Puts a smile on my face every time I get inside
The problem is that the F150 Lariat is much cheaper than the Cybertruck. You can get the Lariat for an entry price of $45k up to about $65k for more features. The Cybertruck is $99k plus $20k for the Beast model. Wrapping is probably another $5k+. You are talking double the price of a F150. They are not equivalent, plus most owners would probably be hesitant to load just anything into the bed of a Cybertruck. For rough handling and all around utility, the F150 beats the Cybertruck hands down. Being able to turn on a dime and the smoother ride are great, but for a work truck, I speculate most buyers would opt for the F150.
There is a aftermarket camera system rear view mirror on Amazon. Saw a post the other day about a ct owner installing it in his truck. I feel like, that’s such an oversight from Tesla, it’s not intuitive at all to have the rear view mirror in the screen. Other than that I love the cybertruck.
What color do you have - I’m looking at buying the 2025 model for 59-61,000 I keep hearing a wrap - what is a wrap & is that what you get to change the color also can you get it in almost any color And can you provide link to where to go to get wrap & color options please???
Hello, my wrap is 3M 2080 in Brushed Black Metallic. You can get it from any wrap shop who provides 3M products. I got my CT wrapped at Mikes Tint Shop in Orange, CA
@@kenknox6424 Price really depends on the shop but for a vinyl wrap expect to pay anywhere between $2000-4000. Yes you can pick from virtually any color
Zach should start his own RU-vid channel. I liked the fact he compared his own f150 to the cyber truck that's awesome! The cyber truck is different Zach is correct 😊. But seeing the cyber truck in person like I have it's awesome
Well, I’ve had a raptor, great truck. I traded up to a TRX, awesome truck! I drive a cyber beast the other day. I’m keeping the TRX, and thinking of getting a cyber truck. I don’t think Zach is ready for high tech.
Zack is a nice guy, but not ready for prime time on RU-vid. Sorry, Zack, you probably have other talents, but not for RU-vid. Just being brutally honest! You are a winner for helping your friend though.
It turns out in real world highway testing. The cyber truck only has a 225 mile range and much less if towing. Also, the superchargers are going away and the cyber truck charges pretty slowly.
Absolutely false, in some of my other videos I show how the CT gets way more that 225 miles. In towing you do lose range but not as much as some suspect. And where did you hear that superchargers are going away?? They continue to build more plus Rivian, Ford and GM are all switching to NACS. Lastly the CT has the capability to charge at 350kw once that is unlocked it will be one of the fastest charging EVs in the world. Gotta do your research Michael. Appreciate you watching and commenting 🙏🏻
NOPE , Shitty Silverado EV is built very CRAPPY. it weighs over 9,000 lbs , similar to Hummer EV, which is a FLOP. the RST EV is built little better , than the WT EV, but not by much.
Totally disagree, the CT is an amazing truck. Can it do everything a 1 ton truck can do? No. Was it intended to do all things a 1 ton truck can do? No. At the end of the day it is better than almost all 1/2 ton trucks and better than a lot of 3/4 ton trucks
Elon did not look at the F150 as the truck to beat . Elon Musk is the type of person to say that that's what he did , but didn't really do it . His own desires and designs are all that's important to him . I guarantee he didn't try to directly compete with the F150 . The cybertruck is way too different from anything on the market, and not for the best .
The CT has almost identical dimensions to the F150 which confirms that they modeled it after it. Also the design wasn't Elons. Franz and his team brought the design to Elon and he gave it the "ok"
I am a ford 150 lover, i live the f150, it is what it is, dependable gas Truck, but i roder a cybertruck, why because i thik is my Tomkat toy truck f3om the 80s and i dont give a crp whqt anybody say, am i my 50s and that cybertruck is my new toy love. Guys buy them and enjoy them and lougj at the leftards that hate Elon the brai. Elon in my books is super cool.
the FUD motors F150 is anything but a RELIABLE truck. Cybertruck can go 200,000+ miles ZERO maintenance. and CT has ROI of only 11 mos. let that sink in.
2:48 - F-150 is only #1 selling because the Silverado and Sierra are considered two different models for sales stats... But if you can combine them, it isn't even close how badly GM dominates truck sales.
I think calling it a truck is misleading. It's a large SUV. The cargo bed is just not for payloads. Can't see a JOBOX and an air compressor in the back wiith buckets of miscellaneous stuf. But for a family car it's ok.
Now put him in a F-150 Lightning I'm interested to see what he thinks about that. Btw I've owed and currently own land rovers. The air suspensions are nice, having the ability to adjust different hights smooth ride but it's just another thing waiting to fail.
Is everyone drinking the kool-aid in this comment section. These cybertrucks cant do off road, get fucked up in car washes, fall apart, cost almost 100k after everything is said and done, can't tow more rhan 100 miles before a charge. No tactile buttons, knobs or instrument cluster, just a large screen that takes your eyes off the road and requires you to sift through menus to do simple functions. The warranty is awful, and Tesla is bleeding money due to narket forces and the abject failure of this truck.
@@Butter_EV really? Like what? Because there's overwhelming empirical and anecdotal evidence everywhere on the Internet about how trash to middling this truck is,. especially doing truck things. I can send you countless sources. Furthermore, the new EV Silverado blows this thing out the water in every category where a truck matters as well as where an EV matters: larger towing capacity and towing distance; faster charging; longer distance; more efficient battery system; bigger truck bed and payload; better off roading capabilities. The GM EV team has like 13 people too. The body of this cybertruck is encasing a very overpriced middling EV with many issues right out the gate. The reservation line is empty, people are cancelling them. The only reason to own this truck was to get attention, and once that novelty wears off, there won't be a cyber truck moving forward. Remember this comment because I'll be back in 5 years to tell you I told you so. Not to mention Tesla as a company is in big trouble right now, partly because of this truck.
Great Job and review! All the Musk fan boys and Tesla stock holders found you and are freaking out!👈🤣 Tesla is no longer the only game in town and many EV manufacturers are kicking their A$$! I would never purchase anything from a company with a grifter like Musk anyway. At this point my new truck account is earning 5.3% interest and I have enough to buy two new trucks!. I'm going to keep on with my 2013 ICE with a 600 mile highway range and 365 mile range hauling my 6k lbs off road caravan. When EV Manufacturers get their $hit together I'll bite!
As with anything it’ll take time to perfect the EV truck. Since they are meant to do more than just drive manufacturers will need time to get it right. I am excited to see where they are in the next 3-5 years
@@Butter_EV the US EV roleout has been a failure in my humble opinion. The inability to upgrade and service power supply packs with some degree of standardized hardware throughout the automotive manufacturing industry makes all EVs obsolete before they leave the assembly line. NO SALE!
lol maybe ask him and post a comment on his answer. Or if you think it’s worth the time you can add it to the video. I think viewers would like to hear if that matters to him. I think it’s the best feature. No more little old ladies banging their car door into yours at the supermarket parking lot. 😂
I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy it. I wanted Zack's thoughts on the truck considering he has an F150. He doesn't do a whole lot of truck stuff with his F150 so doing so with the CT wouldn't elicit any emotion for him. If you are looking for the CT doing truck stuff please go watch some of my tow or hauling videos. Thanks for watching and hope you can subscribe so you can see more truck stuff with the CT. I have a lot of good content in the pipeline
This car is road legal i USA, it just show how bad regulation in USA is. In Europe its banned for many reasons. If this car hit a walking person in 20 miles, it will give alot of injury on a person. This car is peace of junk. Rust and fails within 1 year is normal.
The Cyber Truck is not well build and highly defective. It cannot go off-road no matter how hard they try because of its weight. It's not worth getting it especially for towing.
not fair comparison old & outdated F150 vs latest Tesla. Should have compared with 2024 RAPTOR v8 R Most everyday pickup driver would’ve pick RAPTOR R over this inspector gadget cartoon looking device.
Unfortunately , FUD motors only makes very CRAPPY products. the F150 series Trucks are already OUTDATED and built on a Horse & Buggy platform. its Vehicles are NOT built TOUGH or to LAST a long time. the BEST truck FUD ever built was the FUD Ranger EV built in the 1990's. some examples are still running in 2024. (new Battery pack).
That sounds easy with this truck? I realize the range goes down for the biggest loads but for the average truck driver like Zach if hauling 100 or more miles with stuff in the bed shouldn't be an issue?
TESLA semi (class 8) can haul 82k Gross & go 545+ miles in less than 8H. it also hauled FULL LOAD 1200+ miles in 24H. Cybertruck also has 3 model 3 motors .
Im not taking away the cool factor or the engineering an feats it has accomplished..I applaud Telsa 👏🏼 but to call it a cyber truck is little bit of stretch.. its more of a cyber hybrid.. what makes a truck a truck is that you cab drop hitch in the truckbed an haul.. I don't see this being able to do that..but still love what tesla has accomplished an cant wait tonsee what's in store for tesla's future
I appreciate you watching and commenting. I see your point as the CT being a hybrid. But can a 1/2 ton drop a hitch in the truck bed? 🤔 Do you consider a Chevy Silverado 1500 a truck even though it cannot?
