So.... it's a 2004. The factory set of manifold bolts went bad in five years and your repair lasted six. So your repair lasted longer than the factory set of bolts. If I were the owner, I'd be happy with that.

Late to the party on this thread, but I was able to remove /replace all 20 studs in my 2001 Excursion. Excellent tips good sir! I did both sides in about 8 hours. 1 stud had to be drilled, 8 total that broke off long enough to get Vice Grips on. Love your videos!

Great job !! I have never been able to drill a broken bolt in the center, so I cheat I use the Ridgid 35585 No. 10 Screw Extractor Set it includes the bits, the extractors, but most importantly for me it also includes guides to center the drill bit, the only problem would be clearance, again great vids & thank you.

Cost me 1800 bucks a couple of months ago to replace both cracked exhaust manifolds and 4 broken studs on my 2010 5.4 F150 up here in Alberta. I wasn't happy with this at 90,000 miles. But at least the spark plugs were the one piece type and they had come out with no problem. That was another $210 just for the labor, though. I like Fords best when they still warranty. Mine, of course, was Over!! As a Senior, I can relate to and appreciate the challenges and the battle scars you incur. Great Show!!

I see that in most of their videos in your area what most affects the car is rust. Here in Brazil where we live and more specifically São Paulo the cars here have many problems in the suspension. This is due to the streets in bad shape and many problems with fuel injectors and fuel pump due to the Brazilian fuel is very mixed with various chemicals such as solvents and ethanol. I do not remember if ever mentioned, but i also work as a mechanic just like you. Out of curiosity today I had to replace the head gasket of a Peugeot 207 and also had problems with the exhaust manifold, but it was much easier than his work in this video. Great video as always.
