We had later gas powered F600s on our truck fleet back in the early 2000s. It is amazing to see how using modern technology they were able to kill the rough idle the early gas F600s suffered from.
My dad owns a 1972 Ford F-500 it has a 330 FT Bigblock in it very similar but its sat for 18 years it has some rough idles but over all the engine runs like it never sat
Sounds like the Accelerator Pump is Bad. Cool Truck though!! My Grandfather had a Truck Rental years ago and we had many Fords like this as well as several Cab Overs
I have a 71 with a 460, my old boss has I think a 74 4x4 with a 370 . I want to put a Cummins with a manual in mine . If I did I’d use it a lot more because it would get good fuel economy . My 460 guzzles the gas, I use 15 gallons driving to town and back .
Great truck but it may be time to clean the dual barrel carb on that beast, it acts like my old army truck...you have to pump the gas to get it to get going. But...it sounds a lot better once you get it going down the road.
En ése tiempo se usaban platinos y condensador y había que calibrar a mano. Y si quedaban cerrados estaba sin fuerza y se calentaba y hasta truenos aventaban.
My dad used to have a '73 just like that one, I put the truck in 1st not knowing what granny gear was, and almost went through the windshield. Ahh, the first time driving a truck, I'll never forget it.😃
Sure do wish you'd send me a picture of that sun visor with the instructions on the 2 speed axle shifting.... I tried screen shoting it but the small writing is not readable. I've got a '75 F600 I'd like to print a sticker for my visor.
