In this video I remove my front suspension on my BF Ford Falcon to change the top strut mounts and adjust the suspension.
The reason for this is that I have been having issues with the front right suspension and I thought now was the time to fix it up. When I go over a dip in the road the front right wheel scrubs on the guard and really not sure why this happens. I'm not sure if that was due to the right side being 5mm lower than the left side. The one thing I did notice was the original rubber mounts for the spring had lots of air gaps and the replacement were solid rubber pieces, so it will be interesting to see if this make a difference. One thing I have noticed is that the car sits 10mm higher with the new rubbers.
While I had it all apart it was a great opportunity to adjust my Koni shocks to the softest setting as the ride needs to be softened up. The Koni part no. is 822535SP1.
Also, be careful with front top strut mounts. The ones I bought did not fit and they are meant to be the correct ones. I would have returned them but I've had the sitting around for a couple of years now.
I'll do a follow up video to see if this has fixed my suspension issues.
Please note that working on suspension car springs is dangerous and you really need to take all safety precautions.
