@@r390gt1lm Most non turbo cars struggle up a hill unless you change down a gear or two as the power comes in higher up the rev range. It's all about knowing how to drive.
bugsbuggy The Fiesta used in the video is 60hp. My Volkswagen Polo III from the 90' has a 1.3L 75hp engine... I'm just surprised to see that there is only 60hp of output from a 1.25L Ford engine
My fiesta is a 2014 Facelift model Titanium. It runs a 1.4 litre engine (1388cc actually) with 71kW / 96hp. It's very aggressive on start up and it's 1st and 2nd gear are accelerating quite good. It's 3rd gear ratio is much bigger and you can't speed up easily. So i need a Turbo or a Supercharged engine :P
That small displacement engine isn't available here in Australia. We have 1.6 litre petrol and turbo diesel engined versions, as well as the ST model, with the 1.6 litre Ecoboost engine. I've driven a 1.6 litre non turbo petrol manual 5 door hatch. I managed to get 10.14 seconds from standstill to 100 km/h. Adequate performance, but not a rocketship. The satisfaction from driving a Fiesta is from the handling and driver involvement. I guess you have to adopt the mindset of overlooking straight line performance in favour of the dynamics, in the case of either 1.2 litre models.
Oh, I almost forgot! We've had the 1.4 litre automatic, too. But currently, with the new models, it's a choice of 1.5 non turbo, and Ecoboost 1.0 and 1.6 petrols. The 1.6 turbo diesel is no longer available here.
I have a 2015 Civic Si Coupe that i find slow and i still daily a 2014 Fiesta 1.6L and have raced with a 1.0 Fiesta it took those turns nice with grippy aftermarket tires.
Why does it indicate that you change the change to 6,000? It tells me that I must change gears at 2,300, there the light comes on indicating that I must change gears.
Go to a chiptuner and remove the software limit. Car will have 85hp just like the 82hp with the tune. Both engines are pretty identical as far as i can tell, just diff. gear ratio.
It is A city Cars What do you expect 1000000bhp and its faster than the volkswagen polo with its asthmatic 1.2 65bhp 3cyl engine which is thirsty. i own a 2010 1.25 with only 60bhp not 60kw as there two power variants of that engine 60bhp ish and 82bhp and tbh i do alot of town driving and its fine and its nippy but i will admit getting it over 80mph is abit slow but who cares.
my car which is the post facelift of this car with the same 1.25 60bhp engine does supposably does 0-62 16.7 and do 94mph well i ve had dunno about 0-62 time but got 105 mph so its quicker than it says but like mentioned before still on the slow side pass 80mph.
@@BrianBarbaGonzalez no wories, got the 82hp one in december last year. Super slow but it's perfect in the city, pretty fun car, only wish the climate control would blow air where I ask it to :))
My Ford Fiesta 1.25 82 is very bad on fuel despite driving economically. I drove 30 miles and it used a quarter of a tank of petrol is the good or bad ?
I own a ford fiesta and its very very fast so for all of you guys saying slow hop into a ferrari go from 0-60 and then into a ford fiesta from 0-60 there will be no difference in feeling. And very true as this ford is slow and the ford goes a lot faster than this he should have reached 193 kilometres half way through that run i don't know if the driver was keeping to the speed limit or not plus it might have been the first model which is very slow and has a restricted speed limiter on it i had mine de limited and its a hell of a lot faster 0-60 in 6.497 seconds confirmed on the machine thingy
Then proove it. Where is a video of your "Ferrari-beating" Ford Fiesta? If you are speaking the truth, it should not be a problem to prove me wrong. If you refuse to do so, you are full of shit.
You said the 82 hp makes 13,3 sec to 100 km/h and the 60 hp makes 15.9 sec. In this video makes 13-14 sec so it can't be the 60 hp. I have driven today the 60 hp version and it's much slower than this
*****You are right. I've tried it today. I managed around 14 sec. For 60 hp it's good. But on highway above 130 it goes very very slow. Only on flat ground goes a little over 150.
Seba03111976 i see what you mean but i have a post facelift 60bhp fiesta it does about 14ish seconds to 60mph and if your patient can do 100mph on motorways
