Done many if these egr valves they go bad at the electronic side of things , sometimes it can be soot build up even after cleaning. majority of the time they still fail
My Volvo V60 MY2012 1.6 Drive has the same engine (D4162T = Diesel; 4 stroke; 1,6 liters; 2 valves per stroke; turbocharged). For I got the error P042E in Torque-App and the engine goes to "reduced power"-mode I ordered a new EGR and searched for a removal tutorial after I worked on it on two afternoons. Twisting was possible but the item won´t move any mm in axial direction. So - I have to try it again. Thanks for the vid!
The egr valve is never dirty on those models because the mixiage with intake oils is far away with the pipe. if you remove the pipe, there is where you find junk.
Mine egr valve is stuck pretty much 🤔 so I gave it some let go fluid over this night.. So I hope it can come of tomorrow 👍.. Got a engine error while I drove home from work, nada effect on the engine, because it went into fail safe mode. The upcoming bill at Ford workshop is around 1000 dollars for work hours and the egr valve 😭😩 so expensive..
@@pastasam4069 Yeah I did get it done. But the bill was on nearly 1100 dollars at ford (egr valve 715 dollars) workshop 😬 so yeah original sparepart cost a lot. But my car works again 👍. But I have a little bit of doubts about it, seems weird that the egr valve was in frozen condition on the error code. Some other things can also generate that error 🤔
Nice video mate may I ask how many kilometres or miles does the vehicle have ? Did u notice any difference after cleaning it ? I think I was pretty clean btw
Tom Ozzi thank you for your reply . I believe you as it was almost like brand new. I have a Volvo C30 with the same psa Ford engine and I am thinking to give a try cleaning it. Is it that hard to get it out ??
