For those who need a switched live circuit (to turn camera off when ignition is off) use fuse 3 in passenger compartment fuse box. Its a 10 amp connection for parking aids. You will also require a micro2 fuse tap as mentioned. But great video to show cable routing etc.
@joey Brindle took me a few attempts to find it. Its definitely switched live. You may also need to adjust the inbuilt timer on camera to say 10 secs. Got my nextbase set to 30 secs to turn off after loss of power.
I tried to connect my dashcam with a micro2 fuse tap and the camera switches on and off but now the parking sensors wont work anymore. Do you have the same problem?
It’s way easier to just pull the rubber seal off that goes up the A pillar, remove it up to around the top of the door, then fold it onto the dash out the way. That then gives you a 1cm gap down the edge of the A pillar you can literally just drop the wiring into all the way up the A pillar. Use a pry tool to pull the end panel of the dash, it’s just clips off. If you have the air bag switch there, just unplug it to remove the end trim completely. You can then put the wiring down to the fuse box without having to feed it in anywhere. There’s also some handy bolts behind the trim panel on the dash board for the Earth too.

Hi, schwer zu sagen. Ich würde als erstes mal ein Firmware-Update machen. Dann prüfen ob die Speicherkarte geeignet ist (schnell genug) und danach die Einstellungen überprüfen ob und wie Aufnahmen gespeichert werden sollen. Vielen Erfolg.

Hi. You're welcome. I haven't done anything against OBD stealing (yet). But if you want additional protection the easiest way would be to add an additional hidden switch to turn OBD Interface on.
@@MyFordFocus fini have any product or tutorial to advice? Have you heard about jadauto ? It's an adaptator that you connect on the modified obd (the order or the wires of the odb is changed and you Can the odb only with the adaptator)... I heard about a switch idea but where to hide it? And where to suppose tout connect it...i never done that before...
On the Mk4 Focus ( I know it has on the ST ) the OBD is a module unit now, and is secured with bolts. This gives an opportunity to fit a bracket around it so that access cannot be gained. I have fitted one and used security bolts to fasten the bracket in place. If you search for ODB protection there is a great video a lad did doing this on his MK8 Fiesta ST, although I used a more secure piece of metal as the aluminium he used could have just been bent out of the way.

Jedenfa6der Monitor. Der ist so eingestellt, dass er sich nach 30 Sekunden ausschaltet. Gibt die StartStop nen Impuls immer? War davon ausgegangen, dass auf Sicherung 24 Dauerplus anliegt
Meiner (November 2021 gebaut) hat unten bei der Handyablage 2 USB Slots, ich hab mein Kabel einfach hinter das Handschuhfach verlegt und die Cam direkt da angeschlossen. 🤷🏼♂️
Ja, wenn man zwei vorne hat, ist das sicherlich eine einfache und angenehme Variante. Du dürftest dann aber in der Armlehne kein USB Slot mehr haben, richtig?

Hi. Depending which fuse you use. The one mentioned in my video gives permanent power supply but gives you also the opportunity to monitor everything during parking. In the videodesciption additional informal are available, also the protection to discharge the battery too low.

Hast du mittlerweile einen Tipp welche Sicherung nicht Dauerplus führt? Bei Keyless Go haben alle Sicherungen nach der Öffnung des Fahrzeugs 12V anliegen
Ich hatte die Sicherung für die automatische Einparkhilfe genommen. Müsste nachschauen welche Nr. die hat, steht aber im Handbuch. Ich habe mir aber aktuell den Tiefenentladeschutz gekauft und habe es an Dauerplus angeschlossen damit auch eine Parküberwachung möglich wird. Links zum Gadget sind in der Videobeschreibung.

Weißt du zufällig ob an den Steckverbindungen rechts neben den Sicherungen auch die Lautsprecher Leitungen abgehen ? Würde gerne einen Subwoofer nachrüsten und bräuchte für den high low level adapter das + / - Lautsprecher Signal.
Leider weiß ich das nicht. Ich vermute aber, dass die Leitungen dort irgendwo vorbei laufen und falls nicht dann aber nicht allzu weit weg, da ja die Audio-Kabel die zur Beifahrerseite gehen dort irgendwo liegen müssen.
Hi. Yes, it's a spare fuse which you can use. So the current of your Dashcam is fine for this fuse. But keep in mind that it's permanent +, so even when you turn off the car your Dashcam will get power from the battery to be able to monitor also the parking situation but it will drain your battery. Ensure you have accessories installed (as linked in the video description) to protect your car battery to get too empty.

Hi. Long Time ago that I did the Video but I'm pretty sure that (at least) fuse 3 and 10 were ones which are only active when ignition is on. Also other fuses are only active when ignition is on but for example 10 has no critical (safety related) functions so it can be used without doubts.

Also eigentlich finde ich deine Videos sehr informativ aber hier ist selbst der Anfang schon Falsch + Das Kabel da zu verlegen ist auch gefährlich und kann den Seitenairbag beim öffnen behindern. Hinter der Verkleidung ist eine Kabelführung in die man das Kabel legen kann und sich der Airbag Problemlos öffnen kann Schau dir bitte mal das Video an : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GbyZfyIGMcY.html&t= ist zwar nen Engländer und alles Spiegelverkehrt aber er hat es super erklärt Als erstes macht man die Dashcam fest damit man das Kabel in der richtigen Länge hinter der verkleidung versteck. Den Rest des Kabels kann man dann im Sicherungskasten unterbringen
Hi. Danke für das Video. Den einzigen Unterschied den ich sehe ist, dass er die Verkleidung abmacht, und genau das wollte ich eben nicht. Mein Kabel liegt hinter der Türgummidichtung, dort ist kein Airbag. Bei der Kraft des Airbags sollte so ein dünnes Kabel aber auch keinen Unterschied machen. Dennoch interessant zu sehen wie rabiat er da ran geht :)
@@MyFordFocus achso ich dachte es liegt zwischen den Plastikteilen. Aber ja so rabiat muss man eben an die verkleidung. Da die aber noch ganz neu ist ist das kein Problem da es noch nicht altersbeding Porös ist
Da hast du Recht. Je älter umso problematischer wird es mit der Verkleidung. Ich wollte dennoch die Clipse für das dünne Kabel nicht zusätzlich "ausleiern" bzw. strapazieren :)
