Welcome back to another video, we are fitting this Awesafe Android head unit to a mk2 Ford Focus..

Helpful cheers. Just put one in today but no power going to the unit. Checked the fuses in the car and on the back of the unit and there fine. Any ideas at all. Focus ST225 2006.😊

I got the very first version from scicane, it froze constantly after about 6 months, apparently the new versions are better, the sound wasn't great either.

So far so good, but only a couple of days in.. Hoping to give feedback on this unit and demonstrate some features, sound quality is pretty damn good to be honest.

Just fitted one to an Audi TT. Sound is ok BUT! Wiring loom was wired incorrectly for my car… loads of requiring there. Then went to load Netflix and the unit was not supported… odd I thought… it was sold as an android 10…. Used a version checker. Fek king orio mate …. Android 8. Do not touch these. A complete con. To the poster… yours has the same boot loader android start up graphic…. Check your version…. Bet it’s orio…. Not android 10 at all. Checked on their website for “firmeware” (haha). Nothing. The website is junk too. My advice…..avoid. Go for the recognised brands…. These cheaper ones are not worth the hassle.

Yes, still working fine to this day and is used pretty much every day, I would say that it takes awhile to load say maps on first start up but that could be my impatience.. the only other thing I could mention is volume especially on phone calls as that's max volume 30 but then again that could just be me also 😀

Where you able to get the steering wheel controls to work for volume and and selection of stations. Mine are not working now

My rear speakers didn't seem to work with the standard unit, so I've learned to live it with anyway mate.

I've just installed this on my Focus 2010 but its annoying as it doesn't go into night mode, it just dims the screen a little!

Check the writing on the plugs as mine dims when I turn the lights on.

@@RichST hi, it dims but the setting menu still has a.white background. I'm going to have a play about with it. I bought a dongle so I can use Android Auto too, works a.treat ,👍🏻👍🏻

@@RichST general usability, how is it holding up over time? how to connect it in a way when you turn on the headlights it will dim the screen? There's two USB cables - what are they for? One is labelled as mirror link. What's the other one for? Both launch Android Auto?
