Another great video. I made a similar video on my f20. I was surprised how many views it got. I think about 250k lol. I hope your video does the same. It’s good you don’t need to type the vin in :) keep up the good work!!
TIP: Gauge Sweep doesn't just test if all is in working order it also slightly sets the needles after you have taken the instrument cluster apart... 😉👍🏻
Great video, thanks for posting, tried it today and my favourite is also the full gauge tests haha the battery voltage is also very useful to get without popping the bonnet.
Have you ever suffered from the infamous instrument cluster failure in the time you have owned this Focus? They tend to have all suffered a failure by the time they reach 10-15 year old age mark, so would be surprised to hear you haven't if that were to be the case
@@CarSpyTV That's good to hear. Thanks for replying and satisfying my curiosity. 😀 Should it ever happen in your ownership, given how common it is, there are a lot of people who can fix it at an affordable price nowadays. It's also something that somebody could do themself at home if they are confident with a soldering iron and/or have some experience with repairing electronics and PCBs. It just so happens that I have repaired three in the last month 😁
Three in a month! I bet you can do that job with your eyes shut. If our car develops the fault, I'll probably have a go at it myself. I enjoy a bit of soldering.
Thank you so much. I used it on focus cc 2008. My tachometer stuck at 2 after some newbie mechanic changed my battery. This fixed the issue ! Thanks again
Just a random question have you ever experienced a immobiliser module failure on the facelift mk2 ST perhaps? Was wondering if the parts are interswoppable or if it needs programming
The Vauxhall Corsa D doesn’t even have a permanent temperature gauge. You have to go through a ritual to make one appear via a digital screen, e.g. press a button 4 times, hold, etc.
Thanks for posting, just did it on my 07 Focus 1.6, out of interest, on a few of the read outs - Fuel AD Input, Fuel Guage, A/D Input 00, 02 and five of the Ports, the display number was flickering between different readings - is this normal? Think I noticed it at 3:06 on your car?
Glad the video helped. I remember seeing the battery voltage reading fluctuate on our car. I get that when testing the voltage via a multimeter, too - so that seems normal. However, I can't definitively say whether you'd typically expect fluctuation from the other readings you mentioned. Best wishes from CarSpyTV.
@@CarSpyTV I think they are incredibly underrated cars. And they are also very cheap to buy even considering the equipment that the top trim levels have such as the GHIAs and Titaniums which makes them a better overall choice compared to their competitors of the time, in my opinion
Hi, I like your videos where you explain stuff in fun and easy way. I have ford focus 2007 mk2 and there is one thing that I wonder why it happens. Maybe you have some suggestion about it. So not always but sometimes when I am in a bigger gear than it is supposed to be with regard to speed or if i just starting up from the parking, both defogging buttons (rear and front) turn on automatically and engine becomes little heavy where i have to release clutch more carefully. Have you seen this problem or can you guess what it can be. Thanks
Glad you like the channel. I haven't heard of that issue. Perhaps there's a bad ground. It might be worth asking at a Focus specific forum, e.g. www.focusfanatics.com/forums/#ford-focus-second-generation.297
I also have that issue with my 07 focus, the msg randomly comes and goes....really strange, but I did use an OBD machine and now the message has 100% gone.
What if i dont have this lever with set and reset text. I have turn signals only on my left lever. Does it mean i cant do this because i have "poor" version?
Hi Bob. Do you mean the light between the temperature and fuel gauge? If so, are there any issues with the car? For example not starting, no display on the instrument cluster’s screen, etcetera?
my friend's focus have that blingking red dot but no fault code, the problem is it start easy but dies soon just right after it starts, easy starts but always dies after, any suggestions?
