I think you should do a video short in the future where you rip the screen protector off your multimeter accompanied by the sound of a fanfare of trumpets followed by a loud applause.

Another good video. It is important to have two good working keys and rotate the usage. My brother got a car with one key, and when it was at the dealer, I made his wife get a second key. Not long after my brother put his jacket in the boot with the key in the pocket and the car locked itself! The wife had bring the second key to unlock the car. He was never complacent again. I get the impression that the cars are auction secondhand or salva repaired, so only come with the one key. Also owners who lose a key or the key is worn or broken, are too lazy to fix or replace. Keep up the good work.

Perfect:) I have in queue Volvo v40 2013 and there is much weird problem. The front passenger doors doesn't lock from the remote (the motor sound & click is heard) BUT its lock from the button inside the car and I lock those doors separately from active test. This will be the most interesting diagnostic for me, don't really know where to start with. I look briefly on live data and all looks ok.... First I would check the power & grounds, but all above really not making sense.

why would someone repair a key that costs about £30? At least that's what I get them for.

Could you have the bad key erased from the ECU? Meaning: if some one loses one key (or buys a car with a single key), and gets one new programmed into the ECU (third key), is it possible to remove the old one (2nd one) from the ECU (even to prevent theft by using the old key from the previous owner or car dealer)?

I am not on the end but just clean the PCB before any attempt to do anything. They left flux all over the place and there is many solder blobs

Is it possible to reprogram old key?

In the Passat B5 I had the remote control's squint close but not open, which confused me. After replacing the battery, it turned out that the battery contacts needed to be cleaned. A simple repair as it turned out.
