In turkey, we call these cars Poor's Jeep. Actually these cars are very cheap and cool. It can be a cheap offroad jeep or a good family car. My dad owns one. I actually like the looking of it too.
I have got 2 fusions and one of them is 17 years old and still runs fine 🙂 great reliable cars and cheap to run, my kids take the piss out of me but I'm the first they ring when their cars break down 😂😂
I passed my driving test 5 months ago and have a ford fusion 1.4 petrol as my first car and its been great, I'm a mechanic and fix my own stuff and find it easy to work on and is very reliable and has never broken down. Also very good fuel economy, loads of boot space, handles really nice on road and is cheap on insurance.
After watching this video i decided to buy a Ford Fusion as my first ever car a couple years ago. It was a great car. Unfortunately i don´t longer own it, but i lived great moments with it and crossed the entire country with it. It was a magnificent car and i miss it every day.
@@reyowas968 they are roughly the same diesels are a bit better at pulling up hills and better fuel efficiency but the downside to diesel are they have got expensive parts petrels are cheaper to maintain a bit better around the city as they are quick off the Mark i.e. traffic lights so they have both got their pros and cons it depends what you want your car for if you want it for popping round to the shop and around the door s I suggest petrol but if you want it for towing caravans and trailers i.e. a workhorse and for motorway driving I suggest diesel I love both of my fusion s they are just fun to drive and you can't beat them for space
I still have my Ford Fusion 1.6 with 101hp. Most of the time the car is used by my son. He likes the car 😊 Well, it's not a beauty but it is a very practical car and it drives very nice. The car is 17 years old now (2004) and it still drives very, very good.
I also own a 2004 1.6 petrol/lpg, my only problem with it is that it's a manual...i own it for 4 years now, never ever had a problem with it, it start's at half a key, i'm about to sell it 🙂 i just bought my 2nd mitsubishi colt, both of them automatic...
Nice to see other people enjoying this car. I also own a second-hand 2008 Fusion (1.6lt petrol) here in Greece since 2014 (the full extra "Lux" edition) and I am still very pleased with it. A very modest and practical car, very pleasant to drive anywhere within legal speed limits, with a quite responsive engine for overataking when needed, asking very little in return. Feels like a "bigger car" on the inside, with plenty of space for it's size and a very good view around for driver and passangers. I installed some tinted films on windows and the car stays much cooler under the hot summer sun. Overall, while I like quite a few new cars, having a reliable "old-school" car that does not attract attention with just the right amount of electronic stuff still feels just right for the time. Thank you for sharing your experiences!
I'm picking mine up on Wednesday. 2007 1.4 petrol engine with only 73k miles. It's one hell of an upgrade from my Daewoo Matiz which is SUPER basic. My new car has electric.... EVERYTHING 😂😂 I'M SO EXCITED!!!
I bought my Fusion this year. It was a 2005/12 with only 45k kilometres! I drive my Fusion since 3 months and I love this car. It is practible and it is not a big car! I love the sound of the radio.
This model is discontinued in India. But this is a very beautiful car Ford introduced in India. It is super simple, small, lovely design that imitates a big wagon-like car. I have been searching for a cheap used Fusion in India to make it grear again 😊
I have 2007 Fusion with 1.6 Petrol manual. Its 14 years now with 145000 kms, I am using and still enjoying it. Off late there is parts shortage and they are costlier a bit. But now I wish to sell it. 9822437180. If you really want it you will have to spent some money on the parts and service. Let me know. I couldn't find a better car so it took me 14 years.. But now it becomes difficult for me to maintain it as I am getting older, like a my car---my Sathi
I have the American version of the Ford Fusion. Other than the nameplate, it is completely different from this vehicle. It's very nice to see the variants!
I got a fusion for cheap since i didn't have much money to buy something fancy. I intended to drive it for maybe 2 years until it breaks down and I can save up some money in the mean time to buy something better. Well...8 years later I'm still driving this same car that just refuses to die. I have literally not done anything except irregular oil changes and some break pads. A new battery and a new mirror. It's ugly. It's slow. But it gets me everywhere and it did so VERY reliably. I never had any issues. I kinda started loving it.
I have 2 2007 models, very easy to source parts when you need them and easy to fix, not the best looking ford, but comfortable enough, and very practical. The issue with the boot lock is usually the electronic unit at the lock, cheap eBay fix 🙂
i brought a fusion here in the uk with around 50k km on it as my first car. i wanted something with enough room for all 6"2 of me plus 3 or 4 friends and some bags and it does that great we all fit in and have even hauled 5 full sized adults in there with not a lot of problems
I have a Fusion 😃 it's not the prettiest but definitely the best car I've ever had. Cheap and no repairs. 2008 1.6 diesel with 199,000 km. I'll keep it 👍
Very good review big fan of the car but prefer the pre facelift 2002-2006 cars not the fan of the orange headlight with the post facelift but the car does the job very well
My father has one of those, a fusion 2005 tdci 1.4 and it has already 350.000km and it works like a clock, always starts and no major problems in all his life. The most surprising thing is that it has the factory clutch, never changed it. I kinda consider this car the perfect one. Reliable, much Space, low fuel consumption, confortable...
happy to drive my dads fusion 2002 1.6 because this car is amazing and have a decent hp aswel, there was recently a accident on our car, the damage is kind of bad so we must replace this beast, we are going to buy a audi a4 soon but i will never forget this amazing car because its so nice to drive
Best car I ever had. Still have it. Driving it for 7 years now. Made in 2003. 280k and never really had a problem with her or had to spend a lot of money on her!!
I have had a Ford Fusion 1 2003, 1.4 petrol for the past year and it’s been fantastic. It’s actually quite a big car and there’s plenty of room in the back for 3 adults. I’m 6ft and there is plenty of headroom in the car. The boot is a great size and the 1.4 petrol engine gives all the power you need for Uk roads. I would actually say it’s basically the same size as a Ford focus of the same era but a little taller. In terms of reliability I can’t fault it. I’ve had a few cosmetic things go wrong like wind up windows not working but mechanically it’s been fine. I occasionally go off-road in this because I live in the country and it handles the off-road tracks very well because it’s high up. I don’t want to ever get rid of this car!
I don’t understand why Fords have a bad reputation for reliability? They are very reliable cars in my experience and tend to go on and on with the correct maintenance
@@gerardeijken7790 I bought it, yes. And pretty much hated it! I couldn't get used to the terrible handling and it just felt like a very strange car to drive. Strange driving position and height. It was like driving a small van but without the benefits of actually having a van. It's quite hard to explain actually. It was just...strange. I sold it!
@@chrismac4441 My whole family (wife and daughters) would react the same. But I like the more upright position and the dynamic feel of the car. What did you buy instead?
Hi I own a 2006 1.6 Ford fusion Duratec petrol too and trust me I don’t get any issues till date.Though it’s quite old now it doesn’t give much problems however due to Ford leaving India it’s a very big problem in terms of service, maintenance and parts availability .
I bought a 20 years old Ford Fusion 2 1.4 petrol here in UK as my first car. It has a low mileage car 95,057 mileage and still runs good. But I never tried yet to travel 96 miles or 154 kilometres straight. I hope you can give me some information so that I may know if my car can travel that miles straight. Thank you.
Why not, i bought mine year and a half ago in Serbia. It had 230k Kilometers and i gave it additional 4500 so don't worry about it. If it had basic maintenance it will run smooth almost as a new one.
"THE best Ford Fusion review I have seen ever ! Really enjoyed this. I plan on purchasing one as a runabout, do you still have yours ? I subscribed also, excellence in video " say pinkze
Hi! Thank you so much. I still have it. Last week I used it to transport enorms logs of timber. I pulled the rear seats flat, and used the plastic trunk protector from my w210 in it. Excellent. Like a small tractor or wheelbarrow. But: loud on the motorway.
@@carsandminds3979 pinkze he say " i ended up getting a Hyundai i10, which I am pleased with, not quite the carry all like the Fusion, try and drop by my channel, I will do a drive video of the little i10 soon"
I had no problems whatsoever in 12 years of driving several Fusions both manual and automatic. I wanted Ford to update it when the design became a bit outdated but Ford came up with the BMax instead which was a design disaster with it's manual sliding doors.
Great review, but I think I would be putting the front passenger seatbelt around my camera. If you were to have to break hard it’s going to end up in the foot well ….Ouch ! Only my opinion
My grandad had a 2004 Fusion 3 16v 1.6i pre facelift I prefer the pre facelift the car was red with the 15 inch alloys and velour interior like this car
I bought a ford fusion 1.6 automatic 2007 plus model. I find it very nice to drive and very practicial as well. Only had 2 breakdowns plus new battery during 1 year of ownership
Leuke video! Ik heb net een keurige 1.4 (bj 2004) met 2 ton op de teller op de kop getikt voor €900 en nog de diverse functies en foefjes aan het leren.
Great film Gerard. I am searching a car for my son and the Fusion looks like a good choice. Todays cool is dated tomorrow so just drive ! Cheers from Belfast !
Thank you John. It would be a great choice. It won't brake down, is relatively compact but still big enough to move his pals around, is cheap and running costs will be cheap is well.
Моему фунтику 15 лет, в прошлом году заменил аккумулятор, первый раз, скорость 180, расход 7,4, кузов горячая оцинковка, жалко что их сняли с производства
You need to change the radiator liquid cool pump for a metal one get rid of the plastic one , and the same with the thermostat get rid of the plastic one and put a metal one job done , you have a really good quality engine and car 🚗
I have bought one 2 years ago. It is a 2004, 1.6 petrol, 260k km on the clock. It runs soooo smooth and the engine is strong. Interior size is surpriseingly big, ride height is very good. I am about to buy another one from 2010
I have a Ford Fusion 2 2002 and it’s not a nice car to be in, it’s so noisy, any corners will feel like you’re being dragged around and leans so much, any bumps feel 10x worse than you’re expecting. How ever it’s an easy car to learn to drive in and is nice to get all your mistakes out in an old car
Nice too see that u r saying Fusion 2 rather than Fusion in other countries it was just fusion in the uk there’s the. Fusion 1, Fusion 2, Fusion 3, Fusion +, Fusion City, Fusion TDCI, 2002 to 2006. Post facelift Fusion Style, Fusion Zetec, Fusion Titanium, Engines 1.25 petrol, 1.4 petrol + diesel, 1.6 petrol + diesel
Yes I did buy a 1.4 tdci for a friend. Drove it 1500km, great little car. It even took my Märklin diorama in it, which was a surprise since it was a long layout. Thanks again.
