Thank you! So after all there is no need to replace the tailgate wiring loom as I can see. You literally saved my day as I bought the camera and the sync connector and even voltage regulator but I’m missing the original wiring loom containing the video cable .

Nice installation you’ve obviously got the know how and tools ,I’ve got a 2017 Mk3 Ford Focus Looking at adding a Reversing Camera and hardwiring it to the factory LCD display but will Get it done by an Auto Electrician .

Thank you. Just did this on a 2013 Escape. The second digit needed to be changed to a "2" instead of a "B". I dont know if a B would work for my car, but there are several threads that suggest the "2", so I tried that first and it worked. My second digit was originally a "1". Thought this info might help someone

Can't you use a switch or cigarette lighter to get power, saving all that hassle taking things apart? Im sure a cigarette lighter lead somewhere has a switch on it.

Hello Gary. I have a65 plate mk 5 Mondeo 1.5 tdci econetic with Sync 2. Is there an easy way to check whether the head unit is 'camera ready' with the necessary software already installed. Having said that, there is no on screen prompt when I select reverse

I do appologise for the question but I really am not good at these things. I have as fairly low millage used focus MK4 2019 with sync 3.2. Has identical camera (at least visually). It was installed by the previous owner who kindly also fitted immobiliser (himself or at a garage but all aftermarket). I would love to update the Sync to 3.4. But my concern is - will my aftermarket reversing camera work after the update!? Will there be compatiblity issue etc and need to find Forscan and go adjust the settings with it or just smooth transition? Gary, what do you think and have you done an update? Can I do the automatic update without fear for my camera?

Hi. I've seen others solder the red cable that is connected to the rca that goes to the stereo. Does the red cable need to be connected or just the yellow rca? Thank you

Does this have black and white night vision? Or does it have a light on it? Or neither? Its just the box yours came in looks like it has led lights around the circumference but the link you have put doesnt mention this at all. Thanks

Hello. I have a question,on rca cable on front end cable while use extenzion while not connect yellow to yellow connector and where connect red line on rca also in front side?

I've got a reverse camera off ebay to just clip in place of a std number plate with combined led light. Only problem is mine is a Mk1 with twin tailgate so much more difficult to run the wires which I'm still trying to figure :)

Hi All, I have installed a rear-view camera on my 2015 Ford CMax with Sync2 (My touch) The camera works but I am getting interference in the top of the screen. I have tried 3 different cameras, rerun the cable from the back to the front and also installed a noise filter on the power cable but its still doing it. The video also rolls sometime. Has anyone else had this problem and if so did you manage to get a fix for it. Thanks
