This week rain is in the forecast (for the first time in months). I haven't taken the Model T out for a while, so why not head off camping with it? What could possibly go wrong?
Great to see that ole girl again. I'm amazed you got all that rig into that little car. These old cars are genius. You had a battery malfunction, but you went anyway. Don't need a battery anyhow. Shame about the weather, next time it'll be great. Always enjoy your programs. All the best.
Glad you enjoyed it. I actually had a great time. It was fantastic that the kind ranger brought me firewood and the means to light it. It was also a joy to drive there and back despite the rain.
I just had my T out in the rain for the first time. We had a two day tour through the Niagara Falls region, and it rained a lot the first day. But driving a T is fun, even in the rain! Loved the video. Cheers from Canada
I'll keep an eye out for your video. I agree about the fun of wet driving a T. I'm pretty sure I drifted her on one of the slippery roundabouts - some opposite lock required!
Fair play taking Model T out , I think I would treat it with kid gloves never mind taking it out on a camping trip in a thunder storm. All in all it looked pretty miserable trip with tent woes and rain although breakfast looked good. You must have thought " what next " when old Model T would not start to come home so kudos for just getting down to it and sorting the problem out. The intro was interesting re maintenance of Model T , I have never seen one so close up they have always been behind ropes in a museum.
I'll be polishing brass for a week. Yeah, I did start questioning my life choices when she refused to go. A lot of water had soaked the engine bay, but it turned out to be a combo of loose earth and a slightly flaky magneto/battery switch. I actually enjoyed this one a lot as the start of winter weather is great.
