Hello to anyone who watches this video, please bare in mind this is my first time on camera and I'm generally a shy and not overly confident person. With that out of the way, I present you my Mondeo Titanium X Sport. In this video I'm going to give my opinion about the car and some of the good/bad points about it (mostly good). This is probably more of an overview than an actual review. Anyway, tell me what you think of the video in the comments.

Well done with the review. I have a 2.2 X Sport. Like yours, the DPF has been removed and this makes the breathing much improved. Smaller 16", higher profile, wheels and tyres have been fitted, this greatly improves an already decent ride, it rides bumps and potholes very well, making it really comfortable. The wheels are 7.5 kg lighter than the 19" and this makes it noticeably faster to accelerate in any gear at any speed, given the 30kg saving in unsprung weight. The available torque can spin them up much faster. As you say, the torque is electronically limited in the first two gears and you need to be aware at low revs. In third and above it really fly's. The handling is excellent, the steering is communicative, roll is very well controlled, the lowered stiffer suspension really shows its worth and you can have a lot of fun on a B road, given it is such a large heavy car. It is a car that is set up to do long distances, the seats are large, comfortable and supportive and on motorways you can just use the large torque in sixth to overtake and make progress without any fuss. The last two times I have taken it to France, I have done over 6000 miles and been overtaken by nobody!

Good job buddy! I am in the same boat as you, shy and scared to record a video. I have been thinking about doing something similar to you but for detailing. You have earnt yourself a sub! :D keep it up!

Great review. I have a preface 2.2 Titanium X, none sport and I only get about 45mpg combined. Even mine on 18inch wheels and non sport suspension, can still crash about over bumps. I can confirm mine is pretty decent on back roads - for what it is. Oh and I also fitted the short shifter, makes a nice difference.

Great video mate. I have the 2.0 version & now on my 3rd MK4 . I travel over 35k each year & can honestly say these are the most robust ,reliable as well as cost efficient cars available plus a drivers car. My current model is only on 197,000 miles on the clock & about run in.

I'm looking at a Titanium X at 184000, more as a stop gap to be honest but I like the look of it and it's spec; so it's good to know that yours is still going strong!

The cooled seats are only really effective if the AC is on and you direct the air downwards. the fans are the same as those found in a PC case easy swap if they fail.

You can put some volvo I think xc60 front calipers on and go up to 340mm discs for a cheap brake upgrade 👌

@hascam-6935 thinking of the dpf and map myself how is that clutch wise can it cope? I done it to my c class and it done the clutch in 6 months

@jamiehall8188 I've had the remap on mine for around 9 months, and I've had no issues yet. I think some people have clutch slip if it's already on its way out. My MOT is coming up soon, and I hope it passes with no DPF

@hascam-6935 as long as there is no visible damage or evidence of it being removed I think it's just a visual inspection. Ok well tha5s good to know. What power is yours now with the map and does it make the car better daily to drive even if your just cruising about normally? Cheers
@hascam-6935
@hascam-6935 15 дней назад
@jamiehall8188 it's supposed to be 235hp but I haven't had it on a dyno. I think it does help driving normally, but the 2.2 doesn't have tons of low down torque, and it's limited in 1st and 2nd, and that's still the case when mapped. But around 2.5k rpm it really starts to come alive

got the 2.0 Tit X and absolutely love it. Like you said it handles really well and interior holds up even by todays standards. the shiny trim is a pain! Cooling feature is a godsend in summer! Get it fixed if you can haha

It handles really well for its size and weight, and my switch LEDs work (the blue ones) so I don't actually think my switch is the problem, I think it might be the fans underneath the seat and I don't want to know how expensive the fix is 😂
