The extra power from bottom end to top end is night and day difference. The Speedbrake is a must for towing. My truck is a 2006 Ford F250 with the Powerstroke 6.0. It has head studs with updated egr and oil cooler. Exhaust is stock. Turbo is stock. Original transmission.

Not sure why everyones trucks run at 200 degrees or more.Seen some guys saying 225-240 on their oil was normal! Mine doesn't go over 184 on coolant and 200 on the oil. Been driving it for three years and I've towed 8-16K with it a few times a month. Maybe this humid southern air does a good job at soaking the heat out of the radiator. I see that truck gets 13MPG. It's clean and still using that ford gold coolant. Exhaust logs are mint to. Good weather and no salt keeps things pretty. Interesting use of Romex.

My truck ran cooler before I changed the thermostat, 175 to 185. Probably better for the summer months or pulling, but they are designed to run 190 to 200 coolant temps. The thermostat is 192. I would think the oil temps are getting too hot above 225. Here in the southern Utah desert, the weather can get 115 and above. My truck seems to maintain temp well, even in the hot summers, but I am pretty easy on the truck. When I am pulling up hills I will see oil temp go to 225, but that's when I lighten up the throttle. I'm looking to get the idash for my 6.0 and was wondering if yours was able to read certain PIDs like WOT, EOT, Trans temp and volts? Have you added any other sensors to it like fuel pressure, aux tank fuel level? I know they say it's only to work on 2008+ (6.4) trucks. But you seem to have it working good

Yes it will, but on the 6.0 it works in tandem with the 6 gun module. It kind of replaces the switch, but it reads lots of PIDs. You can also get adapters to hook up more sensors, but, it won't work alone without the 6 gun.

Any issue getting the iDash to talk to the six gun? I have a similar vintage truck with the an older six gun, it sees the tuner sometimes but it seems to disconnect a bunch. There's hardly any videos out there on these.

@PRAYFORMOJO I bought mine used and had problems at first. The mini blade fuse that is on top of the 6 gun module is pretty cheap. I found the prongs on the fuse were able to wiggle a little causing a bad connection. It was even a little burnt inside the fuse holder. I replaced with a better quality fuse and haven't had issues for about a year. Try that first. If that doesn't work then your going to have to start checking all connectors.

Have you tried bd diesel tap shifter.that fits the newer ford tap shifter onto our trans and we can manually select the gears! So then we can properly use fourth gear

I have really enjoyed it. It's still on the truck. I have put about 20k miles on the truck with it. It is a night and day difference over stock. You will have to install an EGT probe in your driver's side exhaust manifold and I highly recommend getting the idash to pair with it. Let me know if you have any questions.
