I have both Torque Pro and the free basic Torque. But I have a major problem, the gauges are so dark I can't see them on my phone. I know the problem is not the phone because I have tried them with a different phone and have the same results. It was originally not an issue as I was just using them to check CEL codes, but now I need to view the MAP sensor. Do you know what my problem might be or how to reach Torque?
@@fintechrepairshop thanks for the reply! What are the man pids I should be monitoring with their normal ranges like the hpop, tranny temp, etc just so I know what the actual health of my engine should be and to set alarms... Thanks in advance
I'm trying to set my gauges up but I can't find the IPR valve pid and the hpop PID I downloaded the ford extra pics but no luck and I know I need those
I may have missed the anwser, but... which OBD2 are you using for the diesel 6.0 ... I have bought 2 that look exactly like yours in the picture and neither work on my 2004 ford f250 6.0 ... any suggestions ??? thanks
@@kidlargo1 scanner will work once you unplugged the sensor. Unplug one at at time to get correct one. My ICP had oil in it and was the first one I unplugged.
Where do you get information about what the readouts of different sensors should be? For ex. You said the oil and coolant temp should be within 16 degrees, where did you get that information?
unless you're operating in cold climates your oil should be 15w-40, I'm no expert but I think you HPOP should show higher readings. I think you Injectors are not liking that lower viscosity oil. I run Rotella 15w-40 all year long hear in the windy city. I hope that helps
If your cigarette lighter fuse is blown it wont connect cause it's the same fuse as the obd port and it won't power it. But yeah ur right some are knock off duds. I bought three b4 I got a good one
Thanks for the video. I have a new to me 2001 7.3 Excursion. I was hoping to have a display with Oil Temp right next to Coolant temp, but my coolant temp only reads -40 degrees. Your seems to work fine. Is there a trick?
+71usmc I was thinking the alternator was low. The batteries are 3 months old. Sometimes it goes up to 13.4V. What should the running volts be at? I just had to replace the ficm inverter board. I have a 1966 bronco with a 2G alternator upgrade that runs all day at at 14.5V.
the early powerstrokes wont work with most scan tools ive even had a 5k dollar snap on scan tool on mine just kills the engine im also curious if this works on 95 96
If it's a powerstroke it's going to kill the engine if it's running. Not a big deal, it'll still read whatever codes are there. It kills the 7.3 in my 96 E350 and the one in my brother's '01 F550... nothing I new alarmed about.
