There are a lot difference between Active, Alure and especially Gt-line for 2008. You get a lot. Active safety. 4 usb ports, full led lights, and digital screen.
Becase this video is a pure propaganda, Ford must win at all cost lol. Just check the sales, Peugout hold 2 out of the first 3 cars (2008 and 208) and also 208 won the car od the year award. Enough to say...
just got the 2008 in GT spec after bouncing between the puma and 2008, was a tough choice but the interior of the 2008 was on another level completely even over the vignale puma it just wasnt up there at all, puma is better looking car though, the boot was clever aswell but for all its capacity the shape meant i couldnt put my wifes wheelchair in there and i could in the 2008 without issue... the rear of the puma was tighter aswell.
I just got my peugeot 2008 2021 alure with some extra options we bought 2 of them got per car 4000€ discount payed 20.500€ only had it 2 days but its great so far and realy fast with the 130hp
Why compare a ST Line Puma (the best version) with the first line of 2008 Peugeot? Active? It was correct if you would compare StLine with GT LINE of Peugeot.
@@LaimisRimkus the comparison was still lop sided majorly, i just drove a puma vignale yesterday and they told me the wait for one is 5 months minimum so went and drove a 2008 GT and the GT is wayyyyy better than the one in this video, it has one of the best digital dashes ive ever seen, much better than the puma but in this video the clocks on the 2008 were bog standard next to the puma's digital display, the GT spec also has a much nicer 10 inch centre display and much better seats. you are right to say the ST line isnt the very top spec but its much higher spec than that 2008 was in the video and can give a false impression to those watching.
Because when tou watch english and irish videos about cars Ford must win at all cost. It is pure propaganda... for example they compare the 208 (car od the year) and the Fiesta (which is the most dated car in the B segment, old narrow platform, enterier from 10 years ago, small boot, zero practicality, 3 doors etc) and in their tests the Fiesta wins by a margin haha. It is so funny to watch qll the BS English and Irish car reporters make 😄 🤣
The puma is gorgeous looking, I've just ordered a brand new Puma st in mean green colour, delivery due September/October time, perfect car for me an the megabox be great too, I do mountain biking,an hillwalking an alot of camping be so perfect for me, will definitely be using the megabox, could even do the dishes in it when camping lol , really excited bout getting this puma st, great review greetings from Scotland 🏴👌👍
Well the 1.2ltr in the 3008 was a brilliant engine with plenty get up n go so in smaller lighter 2008 should be sweet. Only thing about peugeot/citroen are still the electrics, if they start playing up its all downhill
Had 3 year old 3008 and for last 6 months it's been back to garage at least once a month, if rained heavy the senor went haywire and every light on dash lit up ,all garage could tell me was it's a known fault on earlier 3008s that the ECU can get "confused" if sensors report to many things in one go, as in rain on windscreen and rain hitting the forward radar at same time at motorway speeds, advice was "drive away and if happens just pull in,turn off engine and restarting will reset ecu, not best response from peugeot even though the service manager in local garage told me peugeot are well aware of issue, lat peugeot for me that's for sure
I really have no idea why anyone needs a sink in the boot of their car. On the other hand a spare wheel in the boot of a car , now that is worthy of consideration. I just can't see that being a deal breaker. Sorry you only have a spare wheel in the boot , I'm getting the Puma cause it has a sink.. Nope, just not making any sense. Good review Anthony. Time for your bath now. Bit of a squeeze though...👍
just bought my mobile sink and couldn’t be happier. Traded in a 180 diesel DS5 with all the toys, but the Puma makes me happy - plenty of space and to drive is a far better (small) beast. It the ST-X 125 mild hybrid - unless you aspire to lose you license, and/or the upcoming ST - its great. I can keep all of the less frequent ‘essentials’ that my job requires in the cellar!
@gp O'Dork if you lead an active life, like I do, running, kayaking, mountain biking etc.......you sticks all your dirty clobber in the the sink, which is then easily rinsible. Thus keeping your boot always clean. It's not that difficult to work out. It is a small SUV after all. I.e Sports Utility Vehicle.
Parcel shelf moves up with the hatch, a feature not seen before 😂 It's been on the Nissan Juke since 2010! Call yourself a car reviewer? Don't know your cars very well
The Puma ST line is turd 💩 in the model lineup? I’m not a fan of this trim line either, but that does seem a touch harsh 😀. Really enjoy your low key but humorous review style 👍
Il a dit que le Peugeot est une voiture de son amie. Le Ford est une voiture de presse ;) Mais oui, je suis d'accord avec toi, ce n'est pas tellement équitable.
To me French cars are just ugly, but at least the 2008 isnt a Citroen. Seriously Citroen, what happened to you? The interior of the 2008 is better quality, but its grotesque and touch controls are horrible and dangerous. Everyone has different priorities, but if you like driving dont even look it anything but the Puma. The 2008 and its stable-mates are stodgy in comparison.
For me, the Puma is not even close to the 2008. This giant fish tank in the boot is a nonsense. Much better to have a spare tire and some storage space. The interior is bland and the screen position looks an afterthought. Rear legroom is not that good and the backseats feel cramped.
this Puma looks to me like that Indian guy from aincent Pug 206 comercial tried to "remodel" old "boxy" fiesta into Porsche Cayene with his ephant :D : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-50A9wjJ40Dk.html
The host is hot enough to keep me coming back, but he seems so subdued? Like he actually has a personality but is being forced not to express it. Why not make your vids a bit more ‘fun’? Who’s the biggest new car review channel on RU-vid? Carwow, and Matt is a dork and it just adds some entertainment to the informational stuff. It is a video after all, not a magazine
Too bad puma has dual clutch transmission while 2008 get 8 speed real automatic and stronger engines. ncap safety is a bigger scam than co2 emissions, theres that
Don't worry about the old, how many litres? The 3 cylinder engine in the Peugeot has 1.25 litres and punches hard; you can have 130 or 155 bhp and the former matches the 8 speed auto really well. The car is so well built and even on German no speed limit roads even the 130 swims along, there is so much torque. 180bhp with 3 cylinder engine is available with some makes.
What else can you use it for... Was sure you were gonna say taking a shit. Anywho, a Ford Puma should be a small coupe, the only Peugeots worth a damn only have one zero in their boot badge.
Here he is again. Sad, miserable little person that puts so much of their time and effort into such a pointless endeavour. Who do you think you’re convincing?
@@lopezben3023 Come on, the format of your comment isn't even normal. These senseless points just look ugly. If you're critical of a certain model or the service of Peugeot, please express yourself factually and give reasons for your useless comments. That's a big waste of time. Of course, you can still go on like that, but noone will care about your spam messages.
