I've big memories about the Matchbox model of the Ford Sierra XR4i on the left. I also had it in white in my childhood (but without the Ford logo on the bonnet). I can still remember why I've got and and who gave it to me. I was a small child in 1982 and my parents visited my uncle Dieter and he had satellite tv and so advertisement was running about the new Ford Sierra - what an amazing looking car back then. So futuristic in design and much different to what I've usually seen on our German roads back then. I looked at it with open mouth and my uncle did know that I'm loving the Ford Sierra. So not too long time later I got this matchbox model from him as gift. It was for sure my top favorite car I used as a toy. Very cool to also see the Ford Escort mk2 RS2000 and the Ford Transit Mk2 & Mk3. These Transits also have been very popular in Germany - until Mercedes introduced their Sprinter. With the Mk4 they lost a lot of sales for the Transit. Memories ...
