Well, that's a Ford Transit. I have an equal one but it's a Van. Thought he wouldn't make it or de car would lift up becase of to havy load. Great cars these Ford Transit cars.
Alternator has low charge at tick over and big charge revving. That was to heavy a load for battery to carry with out help from engine. The driver is kind to his machinery compared to most ignorant people with cars left idling with headlights etc on.
billalbion Ok fair enough, I agree with you regarding the alternator having low current at tick over. It’s just I had a transit van just like yours, 1997 tipper. I used to carry two tons plus and it would work fine on engine tick over, provided you had a good battery of course. The Journey home would charge the battery to 100% again. Tipping the body just once with a full load should not drop the volts in the battery too much provided you have a decent battery.
