How was your experience with the manufacturer regarding your issues ?

Hey there- been out backpacking the past few weeks and missed your note! We contacted Nomadic to discuss some of the issues and ask questions. They were very friendly and helpful. I think only time will tell if we have any issues with the AC, but so far so good!

what temperature difference have you managed to achieve

We have only tested it with the van sitting in our driveway, but our intake air reading 100F and we were able to get 66F from our outtake air! The primary function of the A/C is for cooling our sleeping area at night--and we don't need it that cold. :)

@@blazingwanderers thank you so much, how long does it take to get the temperature down like that

@@fraserread3558 The 100 and 66 were just the readout temperatures for the intake/outake. We have only just tested it out a few times to make sure it is working and cooling. we have this near the back of the van to primarily cool the sleeping area, which will be mostly enclosed once we have the cabinetry installed. Then we will be able to really test how cool and how quickly the sleeping area cools off! We have started to work on bed frame and electrical boxes in garage, but not the other cabinetry yet. Stay tuned--will let you know once we get there!
