Probly a good idea to replace the seal on the inside of the Pto housing stops you losing tyranny oil to the differential then oil raising and leaking passed the axle seals .seen on utube a Englishman living in Scandinavia replace it on his Fordson .R
I have a 1956 Fordson Major with a raised pto. I was pulling a blade today and went to lift it ....nothing went to engage pto and nothing.. i had just replaced all the gaskets and o rings for piston. Cuz arms were settling. Any idea on where i should start?
You can buy complete hydraulic O ring sets for the Fordson Majors on Ebay for less than $50, most auto shops will have gasket paper so you can make your own.
