A state's foreign policy or external policy is its objectives and activities in relation to its interactions with other states, whether bilaterally or through multilateral platforms.
The main objective of foreign policy is to use diplomacy - or talking, meeting, and making agreements - to solve international problems. They try to keep problems from developing into conflicts that require military settlements.
The foreign policy of Pakistan seeks to promote the internationally recognized norms of interstate relations, i.e. respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of all States, non-interference in the internal affairs of other State; non-aggression and peaceful settlement of disputes.
In doing so they take into account the national interest of the nation, the internal and external environment, the national values, the foreign policy goals and decisions of other nations and the nature of international power structure. These constitute the factors/elements of Foreign Policy.
