Some of these adventures include: stacking gold, stacking silver, stacking stickers, winning chili cook-offs, competing on MasterChef on Fox (Season 8 Episode 2), donating plasma (for gold & silver), coaching semi-competitive co-ed youth soccer, being an awesome dad, being a kick ass husband, creating youtube content, creating instagram content, creating facebook content, being on my community HOA, drawing house plans, building homes, pillaging small villages, sharing pirate loot with the world, vacationing as much as possible, grilling as often as possible, collecting old US coins, filling treasure chests, taste testing rum & visiting coin shops and coin shows way too often! Just to list a few....
As much as I enjoy a new adventure, I also love to be prepped & ready for whatever blows my way! Living in sunny Florida brings it's share of fun & disasters to be prepared for! Also, my favorite metals to collect & invest in currently put in order of my #1 down the list: Graded Coins (Capped Bust, Seated Liberty, Morgans & Barbers), Gold (because it's awesome & portable), Silver (the work horse of metals, some opportunity here).

Nice coins. I'm a lot like you. I still add an ounce or three here and there of bullion but I like finding the cool coins more. I've been collecting 1800s obsolete currency from my home town these last few months. It's a little more expensive but I'm having a great time collecting it. Sad part is I'm probably the only guy in the entire universe who's excited about these notes. lol. I didn't even know they existed until June of this year and now I'm 100% gung-ho over them. Another one i didn't even know existed until Thursday of this week. It makes me wonder how many are out there. Maybe only a few. Maybe hundreds.

I agree with you. Stacking Silver & Gold is just having a savings account. There's nothing necessarily fun or exciting about having a savings account. Granted, it can be exciting to see the level of security and/or financial cushion build for your family and their future, but I get your point. A basic savings account, even a really reliable one isn't necessarily the most exciting thing. I'm not a collector, to be sure, but even I enjoy picking up the historical pieces, buying vintage Silver when I come across it for a good price, and even picking up the occasional foreign piece that I can put in one of my insulating stacks. In fact, I just added two 50% foreign Silver coins to my coffee cup the other day. Everyone has to find their rhythm with these kinds of things or something to keep things interesting. The great part of Silver & Gold is that there are so many ways to do that. You can go after pre-'33 Gold. You can go after only 19th century coins or even coins of a particular type. You can go after foreign coins in either metal, and you can go after rounds and/or bars in various types or varieties. There's just a variety of ways to keep things interesting and make the process fun. I really want to get me a tube of Canadian dollars for sure, and I think eventually, the OCD in me will force me into getting 2 tubes of Canadians halves, 2 tubes of Canadian quarters, and 4 tubes of Canadian dimes. I don't think I have any Canadian 80% Silver, as it stands right now, so I'm actually looking forward to venturing out a bit in the future and getting a few more wants rather than just the needs for building my particular stack. We'll see how it goes though. Great video! Keep up the collecting and stacking!
@PirateStacker
@PirateStacker День назад
Variety is the spice of life! I love the Canadian coinage too, especially all their various silver dollars coins! Beauties for sure! It's all in fun but leads to a much bigger and better cause of security. Buy smart now and you'll be rewarded later. Too each their own though for sure and as long as you're putting away, it doesn't even matter how you stack, it's all more options in the long run! Great to see you man!

Collect what you want. It's your hobby. I also went to a show on Saturday looking for some American but ended up getting two silver Sassanian Dynasty coins from Persia, two silver Venetian Grosso and two bronze from northern India. All of them from the Medieval age. Dealer sold them cheap because all are unattributed but in excellent condition but he does not have time. I easily found out who the Venetian silver were from because it had Latin script on it. The Sassanians are a bit hard because I can't read Sassanian Persian but the dealer was kind enough to send me two website that goes deep in Sassanian coins. The Indians are harder because he have no idea what dynasty they are from . But that is why we have the internet. Researching should be fun.
