Foreign vehicles from S'pore will need VEP RFID tag to enter M'sia from Oct 1 

Beloh la deduct terus saman JPJ dan Polis dari RFID. Kalau tak cukup balance terus tahan suruh settle saman dulu.

Kenderaan dari Thailand juga di bahagian negeri utara juga perlu dilaksana.

Apa macam klu VEP ditambah kegunaannya semasa isi mnyak di stesen minyak Malaysia tapi mereka kena bayaran minyak seperti harga di Singapura dan begitu juga dengan Thailand.

Not limited to Singapore vehicles but any foreign vehicles including those from Thailand.

Had tried many-many times to submit and cannot re-submit because in 2022 I have submitted (I only got their email on tentative VEP confirmation but never get the tag). I even emailed to VEP Team and MOT but no reply, let us see whether they will reply me.

From past history, any implementation of automation at immigration or VEP implementation of foreign vehicle, the process were always full of hiccups & problems. The last half naked implementation was tedious , cumbersome poor IT backup & coordination. The problem with the VEP is not the VEP system itself but its processes and implementation. As always MALAYSIA BOLEH ( cuba lagi jika gagal,😅)

When VEP was first announced in 2017, I registered and was waiting anxiously. Then come Mahathir who took over the second time, its was KIV. Then come his henchman Muhyiddin pretending to toppled him, its KIV the second time. A coup d'etat saw Ismail at the helm, nothing was heard about the VEP. I thought it was put to sleep. Finally, two years ago, Unity was formed, it was very silent then until this Transport Minister announced as if Singapore registered vehicle refused to adhere to Malaysia transport regulations. Please lah, Mr Loke, why are you trying to shift the fault?

This is a good move... However, there's a huge question as to what we are doing for the past 5 years with the system already ready but not enforced... And what was the cost for the system to be implemented but not used?

Singapore has already implemented VEP for a long time, now Malaysia just want to implement it seriously, quite late

Hahaha.Sure screw up. How can it be reimplemented in 4-5 months? Currently, there has not been any setups of counters. Have to take into consideration, most would be almost new vep registration due to COVID. The VEP website system does not allow updates online, and requires over the counter updates. Any change in cars, passports, need to do them over the counter. What a hassle.

Minister Anthony Loke, talk is cheap. I have been writing to Aduan VEP only received lip service from this VEP , 6 Danga Bay. Correspondents took three weeks to get a simple reply. Please take action to expedite the process. I believe Malaysia will loss business after October 1, 2024. Many of us have decided that if Malaysia does not expedite the process and we do not get our VEP by Oct. 1,2024, we will stop going to Malaysia.

Hope it is as easy as buying malaysia touch and go cards in Singapore ..😊

YB Loke please do these 4 things: (i) raise the entry toll for Singaporean cars to RM100 at Johor when they enter so that they won't keep taking advantage of Malaysians and Malaysia, this will prevent them from keep buying Malaysia's subsidised items and bring them back to Singapore (ii) if Singaporean cars found to be pumping RON95, haul them to court straight and if found guilty impose jail sentence, that will deter them from stealing our subsidies , at the moment petrol stations are being fined and this is stupid, should punish the culprit instead (ii) Singaporeans must pay 400% additional buyer stamp duty when buying houses in Johor, if buy RM1mil, must pay RM4mil taxes, this will also protect locals and prevent them from taking advantage (iv) Singaporean cars shouldn't be allowed to pump RON97 (because it is still significantly cheaper than pumping in Singapore), so create a levy so that all Singaporean cars if pump petrol in Malaysia, must pay minimum RM10 per litre for petrol, this for sure will prevent abuse and Malaysians being taken advantage of and a great source of revenue for government all these measures will protect locals' interest
