This is the third episode of a series that I am doing on Mike Boisvert, aka @Theskatenomad.
In this episode, we have already filmed the "off-grid" episode back at my desert property, and now we begin our trip across the country, starting in LA. Things begin to get real while traveling around the west side of LA, checking out skate spots and linking up with top skateboard RU-vidrs such as @Jaayfilms, @Mogely, and @rickyglaser. We have a lot of good conversations about skateboarding, lifestyle, and other topics, and even get some skating in. (All of the footage can also be found in its entirety on any one of their channels.)
We begin to encounter hardships as inflation becomes daunting to Mike, only five days in compared to where he has been in Asia. Additionally, he cannot find a SIM card that is compatible with his phone despite many efforts. I think the culture shock also begins to set in.
I began documenting Mike because I find his journey in America during a very intense election year highly fascinating. There will be about seven more episodes documenting our entire journey across America and to Quebec.
