My first visit to Essaouira was in 1990. I was 3 years old and I had my only strep throat experience there. Later I visited the city during the festival of local music in the summer and read my first English books. Mogadorians are the nicest and humblest people in Morocco without a shred of doubt ! 🇲🇦🇧🇪

In minute 36:35 you can see the little tour where an episode of Game of Thrones was shot.. Essaouira is also known for it's wind and it's Gnawa music... Also Essaouira has a jewish moroccan history (moroccan jewish people) hence the little Craftsman and handicrafts almost everywhere... And you'd probably saw that Essaouira has no red lights 😁... Yes just signs and stuff no traffic lights ..and it seems to do the trick 😅...enjoy it man and wish you a happy tour... Great videos by the way ♥️

@@yvesthesleeve Nope, many cities had it's original Moorish name changed through time. Rabat ( Tamesna ), Fez ( Fazaz ), Casablanca ( Anfa ), El Jadida ( Mazagan ), Oujda ( Angad ), , Atlas mountains ( Deres ), etc

I think you should not be afraid to enter more into shops, i know they can be very pushy but its same for us Moroccans they will try anything to make you buy from them. I personally tell them I'm just looking around when they follow me, avoid chat as the more you exchange words the more he thinks he will sell you stuff, keep repeating I'm just looking around and dont add any words, be quiet until they leave you alone then you can browse the shop in peace
