@Sabari Nath B 'National Food' is a kind of phrase used to describe the most popular and special food in a place. 'Porotta and Beef' is indeed now Kerala's national food. I would say the 'traditional food' in Kerala is rice meal on banana leaves.

What "God's Own Country"? I watched his other video in Varkala and there was so much trash and dirt everywhere. God will be ashamed of all the trash there.

@@kapow4 Trash and homeless people are found every where in the world buddy that does not mean one should be ashamed to visit ..Trash is found even at your home and you need to clean it This does not mean that people will be ashamed to reach you or talk to you...Clean the negative trash from your brain bro Yes trash should be cleaned and there is still scope for improvement.. However Kerala is indeed a " God's Own Country" ..

Food culture is not a one day action but is a time taking long process which depends on the region it's natural condition, availablity of resources , climatic conditions, soils, culture, custom and other factors as well.... So whatever they eat that's food only may be we don't like that food we can't disregard . That may be in any form... Like they eat whatever that is available to the region... India is a secular nation where people have rights to preach and practice what they want. India's national disha is Khichdi which is designated only as it has diverse cuisine. North Indian states have better crop as the states are settled on planes... Simultaneously the Hilly region have difficulty to grow crop round the year so they have different food culture... People living in the dried desert region have different food culture like it's due lack of water, land area to grow crop and all.... People living in the island of India have difficulty to grow crop so they depends on the natural resources like fish... People living in the forested region depends on the forest to acquire their foods... Geography will determine the development of of people and their culture.

My ancestors lived in Barton Hill. That was a different time _ a beautiful environmental friendly home on the Hill. If I was in good health I would have packed my bags and gone back to retrace my roots. My father took me on a holiday to stay in the home he grew up in _ never thought that the world would change so fast and that one day we would feel that we left a part of us behind.

What prompted me was that vliggers even without watching a few existing videos ( out of million you claim to have watched..by the way one million is only 1, 000,000 numbers) or read articles on the location first instead of running corner to corner with cameras and wasting time on trivial things. And for videos of some places there are lot of restrictions and limitations.No meaning in blaming the country for ignorance of vloggers.

This is the problem in whole india but still Kerala is doing great as compare to northern cities 👍

For God's sake leave the trees alone. I would rather use my leg and adjust than suffer walking through scorching roads with pollution and no trees.

​@@aleenaprasannan2146 The sidewalk is for walking and not a place to plant giant trees like these. If they were small trees, there would be no problem. But these type of trees grows over time and reaches the road, affecting traffic and causing accidents. Do we have parks and other places like that? More trees can be grown there.. See and all the adjacent compounds are full of trees. Nothing special will happen to nature if some trees have gone. No need of any "tree guilt" at least in case of Kerala, A state which 80% its area covered by Dense forest, Plantations, Paddy fields etc. Unfortunatley Kerala is now in the grip of some Eco- Fundamentalists who is funded by western NGOs. Eco-fundamentalist arguments do not particularly benefit either the environment or humans. Developed countries continue to exploit nature for their comfort and create disproportionate carbon emissions. To balance it, they feed NGOs in third world countries to propagate "nature guilt" among its people.

@@digitalalterations4764 You missed the entire point all together, possibly because of your knee-jerk reaction to categorize anybody who says to not cut trees unnecessarily as 'eco fundamentalist. Trees are regularly pruned and their roots are won't grow out to road surface unless they are starved for water, which hardly happens in our cities that gets constantly waterlogged. And a stand alone pavement is not pedestrian friendly. Trees (not shrubs) to trap and reduce particulate pollution and for their shade. Actual developed countries design cities prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists, instead of USA which builts its infrasture to deliberately make it impossible to function without a car. If you wanna know what actual people centric development looks like look up pedestrian and cyclist prioritized city planning and walkable city concept in European countries. Look up the cities like Utrecht in Netherlands. Trees play a significant role in making a city walkable. They will have shaded roads either from tall building or from trees and we hardly have such tall building for shade and our geographical position let's us get very little time of shade from buildings. Look at all the tree that have been cut down in just a month for the current 6- lane road development and tell me again how don't need to care about trees and how much we need to cut down even more trees. Look at the urbanization rate of Kerala and tell me again why we need to raze out our pedestrian walkways into blistering pans where we can walk to get sunburn and dehydration. The need for shade totally will not register with those who only uses the walkway to park their cars over then and step out from their air-conditioned cars into shops. People who actually walk on pedestrian pavement for considerable distance in the city will know exactly how important and necessary trees are for walking especially for those who predominantly use public transport. Edit: Also don't try to push any narrative that deprioritizing and reverse engineering cities to minimize vehicles are going to hinder development. It has been proven again and again consistently that every single time a street was redesigned to priorities pedestrians and cyclists, revenue for businesses there boomed. There is a reason why most popular shopping streets are either exclusively pedestrian or have very restricted motor traffic.

​@@aleenaprasannan2146 I did not say that every tree should be cut down. Growing such large trees on roadsides is not something that should be encouraged in terms of people's lives. Such trees are responsible to some extent for accidents in Kerala. Why is it so necessary to have such huge trees right next to the road that make it difficult for pedestrians? A certain number of stunted trees can certainly be planted there. Nowhere else in the world are trees of such enormous size planted along the road. Most of these so called nature-loving European countries you mentioned are far above India in per capita carbon emissions. India ranks behind 125th in per capita carbon emissions. In 2012, India was ranked 164th (1.16) out of 188 countries with more than one million people. The world average is 2.75. If everyone were to live as "nature-loving" Westerners do, at least 5 Earths would be needed. Meanwhile, if you want to live like the Indians, 0.8 Earth is enough. If you want to live like a Malayali, you don't even need that much! They spent billions of dollars to "measure" global warming, but neither America nor Europe, the creators of global warming, aren't doing anything to address it other than initiating some fancy eco-friendly farces here and there!. “You do it,” they say to the underdeveloped countries. The same position has been taken by the elitist, environmental/cultural/academic intellectuals here. They have been able to teach common people here that even cutting down a tree to develop a road is a mortal sin.
