Those waters have an eerie silence and calmness about them . I was there in 2004 when the worse recorded tsunami in history killed 4812 people in Thailand . Total death toll 225000 - 230000 people in all countries affected. The violence of the tsunami leaves a lasting impression on people they will never forget . A beautiful Thai villa by the sea where you can here the waves , not an option for me . A Thai villa on the hills looking down with views , yes .
There's no doubt it was in the back of my mind the entire time I was out there. Only so many people are going to get away, in an emergency like that. The villa in the hills is definitely the right spot to be.
