Sax solo by the great Junior Walker. Did it in one take. He started packing up his instrument after he played it, and they asked him for additional takes. He shrugged and he obliged, but they still went with the first one. Junior Walker and the All Stars. Music royalty. And Foreigner knew it, and asked for it. They got it.

My older brother was teaching me how to drive when this came out, and it got a lot of airplay. Of course he’d blast it in the car. Hands down my favorite Foreigner song - it’s a banger. Juke Box Hero is another great cut from this album. 👍🏻

Welcome to my time guys! I was sophomore in college and my roommate had thus album, Journey, Pink Floyd-The Wall, and I had many albums too. Depending on my mood, I put head phones on, turned record player up and rocked out while I studied for tests. Don't know how I learned a damn thing listening to this great music, but I did. So much fun watching yall get the good nasty face listening to this. We all get the nasty face with that sax solo! Glad to have you join us older rockers! ❤❤😊

I saw Foreigner on their "Foreigner 4 Tour" in Austin, TXway back in '82. Mark Rivera - a longtime member and sax player in Billy Joel's band - was touring with Foreigner on that tour and killed the sax solo in Urgent. Months later that same year I saw him with Billy Joel on the "Nylon Curtain Tour". Loved y'all's reaction and highly recommend "Dirty White Boy", "Waiting For A Girl Like You", "Double-Vision", "Long Long Way From Home" and "Blue Monday Blue Day" to wet your Foreigner palate.

"URGENT" was my California license plate in the early 1990s.

FYI Mr Mutt Lange produced this album. He also produced the only artist to have 3 back to back to back Diamond albums, Shania Twain.

That might be the best sax solo in music history. This is my favorite Foreigner song. I had this vinyl but foolish teenage me probably sold it for a couple bucks at a garage sale. Agree with you guys on vocals he was scorching. And when you listen on headphones you pick up just how good the bass is.

Christmas of 1981 (middle of my Freshman year) I was gifted with Foreigner "4", Journey "Escape", REO Speedwagon "Hi Infidelity" and Styx "Paradise Theater". Brings back the memories. One of Foreigner's lesser known radio songs (I think) is about street racing. It's called "Rev On The Red Line" off the "Head Games" (3rd) album. Still one my favorites by them.

Lou Gramm was the VOICE that put Foreigner on the map! Wayyy better than the lead singer now.

Break It Up was another great upbeat song off Foreigner 4 along with Waiting For A Girl Like You along with Jukebox Hero.

This was the only Foreigner album (their biggest selling album) produced by Mutt Lange who produced the biggest albums for artists like AC/DC, Def Leppard, The Cars, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain (I could go on and on). He was married to Shania while he was producing her 3 biggest selling records. He also co-wrote or produced hits for Billy Ocean, Huey Lewis and the News, Loverboy, and many more. Mutt Lange was a hit hook machine.

Never can underestimate the hit-making prowess of producer Mutt Lange. He comes in and makes perfection on each rock album he works on. The first 3 albums of Foreigner are great too. And Lou Gramm is one of the greatest vocalists of all time. But when Mutt gets a hold of your band--forget it. Your band becomes the Beatles automatically. Mutt had the Midas touch.

Only rock song without a chorus. Just played Urgent. Not a chorus. Lou Gramm has an octave in his voice like no other. That voice coming into of a little 5 ft 7 guy. Back in 82 Foreigner 4 was the only 8 track I had in my car and played it consistently. My boyfriend took out my 8 track and I had a hissy fit! He put it back. Lou Gramm had a tumolous run with Mick Jones, the creator of Foreigner. He stole his rightful property all the time. So Lou finally left and went out on his own. I don't know what the agreement was, but Lou went back. In 1995 they were playing in Japan when Lou fell out, sent back to the States for brain surgery to have a huge tumor removed and had to relearn everything. Mick wouldn't wait on him and replaced him. I consider it the death of Foreigner. Lou is the nicest person in rock. A heart of an angel, even after all he's been through. Foreigner is my absolute favorite band ever!

The three best voices in 70's-80's rock were Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, and Dennis DeYoung. Nobody else came close. The Foreigner 4 album was HUGE and had so many hits on it. They should hear Lou really take off vocally on Jukebox Hero and Head Games.
