My heart will always be with Lou. No one could ever take his place. But KELLY HANSEN is def one of the best rock/ballad singers around. And if there was anyone in this world that I would choose to pick up where Lou left off. And carry on the Foreigner name. It would be Kelly. My hats off to the man !!1

As a life long Foreigner fan I think this song is perfection. I love Lou Gramm also but bands move on just as we do as humans. Thank you Mick Jones for continuing to perform awesome music. Kelly Hanson rocks!

I heard this on Foreigners 40th Anniversary a couple of years ago, and out of nowhere, part of the chorus just came to me today. Been listening to it again, and I’d like to try a cover version. Love it!!! ❤️ the band, the song writing and Kelly’s amazing voice!!

Not always the bands stay with the same members until the end. Lou was amazing at Foreigner. But now who commands with mastery and a lot of competition is Kelly Hansen. I'm very much a fan of your work, you're amazing, you could not have a better musician to lead the band. Without demeaning the other members of course, they are all great. But I have a special affection for Kelly Hansen.

Well said, guitarguy. Some people just kill me. I fell in love with Foreigner when they hit the scene during my sr year of hs so I'm not some johnny-come-lately fan. Pre-op Lou will forever be my alltime favorite vocalist but I'm open-minded enough to accept Kelly because he delivers the goods night after night. He's an excellent frontman regardless what some small-minded people think of him.
Lou made them famous but Mick was an amazing writer with Lou. Mick needed Lou as he's never had a hit song without Lou. Lou proved he doesnt need Mick. Mick was pivotal in Foreigners success and now is pivotal in its destruction. I would never want to see Lou play with Foreigner these days. Foreigner today is nothing more than a cover band. Sadly
Please tell me what Lou has done recently to say he's proven that he doesn't need Mick? Pre-op Lou will forever be my favorite rock vocalist but the shows had become stale and less than stellar the last three tours with Lou fronting the band. I'm not saying anyone will ever equal Lou in his prime(at least in my eyes) but Kelly brings and energy and vocal prowess to the shows which Lou sadly can't equal these days.

everyone please remember that mick wrote this one just like he wrote all your favorites. kelly is a great singer and an humble guy. this might become the "i've been waiting" for the 21st century. Lou will always have a place in rock history. this album "can't slow down" is awesome. just the re-birth they needed.

It killed their Rock edge credibility , that plus Mick Jones screwing Lou Gramm out of songwriting credit/ ratios is why Gramm left in 1990 . Gramm left again in 2003 because of Mick Jones alcoholism. Foreigner has been nothing but a business since "I want to know what love is " came out . It revealed Jones' GREED'.
Just hearing this song for the first time. Love it!! A great song by Foreigner with Kelly Hansen being the lead singer. He has managed to keep Foreigner’s music we all have loved for years Alive! (Despite some negative comments I’ve read) His voice is unique & amazing!!
Kelly Hansen has no big hits of his own with Foreigner. Someday he'll have to prove himself as a soloist or with his own songs 🎵. Gramm did it in his prime with 1987s READY OR NOT/Midnight Blue #5 on Billboard+ 1989s LONG HARD LOOK/Just between you and me#6 on Billboard. There's really no comparison between Gramm and Hansen. Lou made history having hits with and without Foreigner. No other member current or past has done what Gramm has done.
I heard this song for the first time last night at the Foreigner Farewell Tour. Foreigner is my era's music and I thought I knew all of their songs. I absolutely fell in love with it.
@@ragenbostrom8075 CANT SLOW DOWN is the only NEW album Hansen ever made with Foreigner and he's been in the re-vamped Foreigner for 19 years. Not much of an accomplishment.
I've always loved Kelly's voice (I was a Hurricane fan, too) and it's great hearing him front for Mick Jones's band Foreigner. Kelly co-authored a great song here.
I can appreciate the singer much more when he isn't "covering" the uncoverable Lou Gramm. Somehow, the latter exercise always will remain like blasphemy. Quite odd to see these electric instruments apparantly being feeded by the sun.
Don't see what you mean by muted vocals... he just sings quieter; it's called dynamics. Kelly has done an incredible job in bringing Foreigner back. Lou was great and it will always be that, but he can't sing like the old days anymore. Kelly still does a great job at it.

I’ve done a deep dive on this band this week. Listened to every single track from every album. I Love Foreigner. Saying that, this album is better than “Unusual Heat,” the other album without Lou yet still....pretty average music compared to the rest of the discography.

Kelly Hansen has an amazing voice for ballads. Love the new music with him and foreigner. But he doesn’t do Lou gramm any justice. I don’t like him singing Lou’s songs.
Every time I listen to this song, it's like someone is driving a dagger in my heart and twisting it the entire time the song plays. I know I'm not alone is saying this song sums up my life. I had the perfect woman, I loved her, she loved me...end of story, right? NOPE! I made the mistake of listening to my parents about my relationship and I let her go. That was over 35 years ago and I STILL hurt. The lyrics to this song are EXACTLY what I feel EVERY day. Y.K.A. I miss you SO much.
love this song, I saw them live in Orlando back in march. It was amazing, they played this song and it was the first time I had heard it. I loved it instantly. I was singing along with in seconds. I really like their new lead singer.
