For me, skincare brushes are lifesavers. I have rheumatism and my hands, especially my left hand, have limited mobility. I wasn’t too impressed with the Clarisonic. But the Foreo is super!
The Foreo Play is meant as an introduction product, it comes with a coupon code, so if you decide you want the full size Luna it takes the full price of the play off the Luna purchase.
Good to know! Mine came in a set so I wasn't aware that you could apply the price towards a larger one. That's a great way to get even more for your money! :)
Malou Mas. They have instructions on their site on how to dispose of it. It really is there way of letting you try a mini version of the device to see if you actually like it enough to buy the full size version
I tried all of the Foreo, but my favorite is the Foreo Luna Play Plus because you don’t need to carry a 🔌 charger but instead it uses battery 🔋 which I think 🤔 is better. Also for what it does it is the best price 💵( I calculated it ) and yes I am keeping in mind what are the differences of each, and it means that it’s not the cheapest of all but compared to the cheapest one it does much more. For example, the cheapest one which is the Foreo Luna Play is not effective to use as in it’s not reusable, it’s not worth the money and also its not good for the environment. IN MY OPINION.
I hated that product. I had it replaced and then returned it. The battery was supposed to last a long time and after around a month it died already, and that is from an original seller and the original battery that they provide. Both would randomly turn on etc. I'm going to try the chargeable options
I ordered a Clairisonic Mia 2 and Amazon kept having issues with the seller so they cancelled my order and refunded my $$$... they always say things happen for a reason and im so glad it did. Ive found that for sensitive skin the Mia 2 is super harsh, it doesnt last as long for charging and the cleaning is a pain in the rear... I actually picked up the Foreo Mini 2 the other day at Ulta cause it was very eye appealing however with research I decided to put it back and wait. But people say hands down Foreo beats the Clairisonic products and I love the silicone aspect so I'm gonna buy one in the morning! It saves me more money too. Thanks so much for the clear defining explanations on these devices and which you prefer and why. Makes my research feel validated. Best video on skincare device recommendation. 10/10!
Thank you so much for your review. You did better than Foreo customer service rep. I had a very frustrating call with Foreo, they should do a comparison chart. Who knew Luna play is a one charge use and never knew the big LUNA has different bristle setting for different type of skin! I owned the very first LUNA and also find that never needed to change setting. Thank you again!
First of all keep up the good work lady. I had been browsing and watching videos for foreo for the past two weeks cause I needed to get one. None of the videos has been so informative and unambiguous. You've cleared all my doubts with the superb comparison. Can't thank you enough. Though I want to have mini 2 but a little tight on my budget. Should I go with Mini or wait to save and get mini 2? Janna Cookie please reply whenever you see this.
Akanksha Garg I’m so glad that the video was helpful!!! 🤗 I think that if budget is your main concern that a mini would be fine! Mini 2s are just an upgraded version with more bells and whistles, but in reality they both do the exact same thing. I had just the mini for a long time and when they changed them I felt like I really wanted an upgraded one! So I bought the full sized Luna, and they work the same!!!
Could you confirm if then Luna 2 Men has 12 intensities, is this split over the two available modes (cleansing, anti-age) according to mine it has 6 cleansing and 3 anti-age. Is mine faulty? Some say it’s 12 per mode! No one can seem to answer this accurately.
The 2's have 12 settings for every color according to your skin type there are 4 colors i think. And the luna foreo 3 has 16 settings allowing you to find the sweet spot without dehydration
Hi, Janna! Thank you for your effort and time to explain so well everything! Not even Foreo tried to chart all of these diferences! :) So, for a finantial reason, I think LUNA play plus would be OK to me.... But I'm afraid to miss the intensity option - i don't mind about its shape, I even like it. Do you think that the intensity of it is less efective, or would you miss the intensity option? Thank you so much!
Hi! I honestly don't have an issue with not being able to change the intensity. I have played around with the different levels and always end up going back to the "medium intensity" (the same as the smaller ones that cannot be adjusted). So now all of mine are programmed the same :) Of course, some people may want or need to change it up, but I almost never change mine anymore. Good luck! I hope that you can find one that works amazingly well for you! :)
Love your video! I bought a luna mini 2 about a week ago and I noticed the +/- buttons dont seem to make any difference? The led flashes when I press them but I cannot notice any difference at all on intensity or level of vibrations, is that normal? lol
@@ArtLoverDaiana hey guys, I realised that just pressing the +/- for a second doesnt work, but if you press the botton and actually hold it pressed for a few seconds then it will change the vibrations lol
Do you recommend to use the mini 2 for the back of body? I have some blemish and blocked pores which I would like to clear.. hope to hear from you xoxo
Bridget Graham Yep! Totally waterproof! I’ve had mine for more than 5 years and keep it in my shower at all times, it still is in perfect condition!! 😊
The one that is once used is to see im you like products, is easy to take with you on the journey since it is so small. I used facial brush before, but when randomly Come open it. The green lying along the wall made me shudder🤯 then the hunt for something judgment began to withstand water and is waterproof. I first bought drn little Foreo plus that can not be used anymore once and I fell in love 💕💕I recommend alke try rn such, I am 48 years old and it is perfect for my skin. Now it is purchased Luna play plus 💕💕
Actually you want to avoid granular, silicone, or clay cleansers this will wear it down to where it will run down before the warranty and for the price you want it to last also dont put in direct sunlight. It says this on there website actually. I have combo and oily pores as combo so I just go with a gel its easiest to wash off and isn't hard on the device neither are serums
Hello! This was super helpful I was watching a doctor Dray video and came across this product. She said her foreo connects with your phone, do all foreo products do this?
Hi Sari! Awesome! I’m so glad it was helpful! This video is several years old and I do need to make a new updated video! But yes! The third generation foreos (Luna 3, Luna mini 3, etc.) and the Foreo Fofo has an app and can connect to your phone! The Foreos before the third generation are not app compatible! Xoxo
Janna Cookie is there any way you could do a video explaining what each zone on the foreo is used for? I just received my foreo mini 2, and am reading the instructions but I’m not sure what the general cleansing zone or the precision cleansing zone is for. I know I wouldn’t use the back of my foreo where the ‘deep cleansing zone is’ because I don’t have oily skin. But could you please explain the differences of these zones and what part of the foreo I should be using if I have sensitive skin? Is the precision cleansing zone for my nose and under eyes and the general is for the rest of my face?
I have also luna play plus and i have been struggling to take out the old battery which was completely destroyed and when I replaced it it wouldn’t work! I dont know what to do... can someone please help me?
Thank you so much for the information. Very helpful 👍🏻i just got the Luna play included in the Sephora skincare gift set and look up for its information. It was so small and hard to hold on while pushing the button to clean your face😱
Thanks a ton.. your video really help me to make choice which one i have to purchase.. im very much confused about foreo product.. but now im sure which one i go for.. keep up the good work. Regards..
I always recommend the Luna Mini 2 because I feel it gives the most benefits for the most reasonable price. It's my favorite and the one I use most often :)
Sweeya Allam There are several options depending on your budget and what features are important to you. You could go with the Luna 2 for sensitive skin ($199) I think they are on sale at Sephora right now, but I’m not 100% sure. This one has small bristles that are gentle on sensitive skin and won’t be too harsh or overly drying. The Luna Fofo ($89), which was released after this video, has sensors on it to analyze your skin for optimal skin health. I do like this feature on my foreo but I find that it is not very accurate and so I don’t see it as a major selling point. Or you could get the Luna Mini 2 ($139) This is the one I talked about in the video as being the one I’d almost universally recommend to nearly everyone. I think it’s diverse and you can use it differently depending on your skin type.
Hey so just saying even though no one is probably gonna read this I have the Foreo LUNA mini and I actually got it on eBay for $7! And it is JUST like the one that’s 100’s of dollars! It comes in really nice packaging with a cord as well! Hasn’t failed me yet!
Gisselle Hernandez I ordered one of those also for $6 +post so around $10 ... was yours branded? Mine is advertised as foreo but idk if it will be the original but for that price idc lol
Which one ist better? Has the more expensive one (mini 2) more quality than the play plus or is it just expensive because it is bigger and because it has an up and down stud? Please help me I want to buy one and i don't know which one I should buy. Thank youuu❤
Maryem Ali If you are on a budget then I think the play plus would be perfect! The mini 2 does have more features but they are extra and I don’t feel like they makes enough of a difference to warrant spending more that you have.
This was so helpful!!! Thank you! I do have a question though, do you k ow if they will have Black Friday sales? I want the mini 2 but I don’t want to pay that much for it.
Hello ma'am... I have oily skin on my nose, chin ,upper cheeks and forehead and also I have acne on my face(not much) and white heads on my nose and chin area. Plz suggest one for my skin type.
You are probably combo but could be sensitive i have sensitive combo myself and if you are breaking out there in the t zone thats sensitive and combo. I have the purple it definitely works and won't cause breakouts
Amira Smith All except the smallest one comes with a charger or has batteries. The charge lasts a crazy amount of time! The first one Had, i used twice a day and had it for about 9 months before I had to charge it! The smallest one is one that you use and then throw out when it dies.
Great review! Thank you, I now know everything that I needed to know! I just purchased Foreo Luna Play and I wanted to know about it & the others similar devices as much as possible!
@@ebruy.6308 Hi, yes I still use it, the battery ran out after one year but I exchanged it and it kept working just fine. I also bought Luna 2 for combination skin which was much more expensive, but only used it like 3 times then stopped because I started getting acne caused by skin irritation, so I switched back to Luna Play and I still use it on daily basis.
Abbie Gottman Yep!! I mainly use the Luna mini (I’ve had it for like four years) and it’s always in my shower. I have never had a single issue with it charging...or any other issue for that matter 😊
Rahat k Any of them would be great!! I have oily skin and have been happy with all the ones I’ve tried (the play isn’t a good value but still would work well). My fav is the Luna mini 2, but I go over all the details and pros and cons in the video! 😊
I just received my new mini 2, and it came with a tiny flat silicone disc. Bar code and flat bristles on one side, and a smooth "rubber like" surface on the other. What the heck is this for lol.
STC Coleman Where did you purchase it from? Most stores that sell Foreos will let you return a product within 45-90 days after purchasing. If you purchased from Foreos website then they have a warranty. You can contact them to see about getting a replacement. There’s no reason a genuine Foreo should stop working after one use and them not replacing it for you!
Hahaha! Right?!? The Fofo wasn't out when I made this video but I did purchase one when they released it! Maybe I need to make an updated video. The Fofo has sensors that are supposed to sense the level of hydration and the basic needs of your skin daily. It connects to an app and then will help you cleanse your skin according to your specific needs on a daily basis. I personally do not recommend the fofo because every time I have used it, it has not been consistent. I follow all the directions for it to "sense" my skin needs and it gives me it's "diagnosis" for my skin. Two minutes later I will try again, in the exact same way and the "diagnosis" it gives me is totally different! If there is no accuracy or consistency, then I don't think that its a reliable tool for the way they market it. For me it has not helped or held up to the claims that Foreo has made, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Janna Cookie thanks for replying! I also have the fofo and it’s so gimmicky... it pretty much goes by what you put in. But thanks to you, I got the Luna 😍
I've got multiples of the FOREO devices too! I've got the Luna 2 for sensitive skin, Luna Go for normal skin, the IRIS and the the Espada as well as the Clarisonic Smart Profile Uplift.
Rudy Dondon I personally do not think it’s worth the money. I do love all the Foreos that I have, but I don’t see a huge difference in the performance or results between the $199 and the $139 version. My advice would be to get the Luna mini 2 ($139) when there is a sale from somewhere like Macy’s or dermstore. You can usually get them for about 20% off.
Just take a skin type test and with that knowledge get the right color, alot of skin care products are biased towards females because obviously females are more attentive to this area of life and they tend to neglect males that are conscious of it I have purple for sensitive skin combo but but because its easily congested and reactive I know blue which is just for combo is too harsh and I know from experience. Check out there website and it will tell you which color does what but start with the 2 or 3 there are 3 or 4 different colors for skin types. Do not get the generics simply because they never tell you what skin type there for and say its for all which is marketing bullshit and will waste your money and make your have a bad experience or at best won't last for you to where you have to keep buying for lack of quality
Janelle Ramcharan I personally have not seen of felt obvious benefits by using the anti aging side, and so now I never even use it. My favorite one, the one I use most often, and the one I think is universally best, is the Luna 2 mini 😊
The other side is to help absorb skin care like spot treatment and serums better it may have a beneficial anti aging affect to it but basically having a silicone facial brush with the best materials is going to do that anyways as well as make your skin more elastic and have more collagen

dakotahjadee I havent had an issue with them wearing down at all. I’ve had one for over 5 years (and it’s the one I use the most often) and I don’t see any wear down on the silicone bristles 😊
I have been using a clarisonic mia 2 with a sensitive brush head for over two years now. Only for two days have i had my foreo luna 2. I love the lack of charges it needs for one! My clarasonic, trustworthy as it was, took several hours to charge for less than ten uses, and it has no massager. It is slightly easier to hold at first but i was surprised at how easy it was to get my new luna to fit easy in my hand and clean my face. But what i meant to say before i got distracted was this :- i have to use soap free cleansers on my face because of my skin, it was only once but after i was on orracutane a year or two ago due to oily skin it became quite sensitive and dry, but when i use the right product, it looks beautiful. But you are right about the mia two, even with the sensitive brush head on my mia 2, its far more harsh than my luna (which I got in sensitive, but i think even the normal is less abrasive than the sensitive brush heads on the mia 2. The charging factor and how gentle yet still very clean cleansing it is are the best two selling points for me, plus that it has a massager that the clarisonic never did is another bonus, and you can see because the head is the brush, its easy to thoroughly clean it as opposed to replace the dirty (and pricey) brush heads every few months. I found out eventually buying the luna would save me the price of the whole thing in brush heads (bought every three months (sometimes more) for a clarasonic) after two years anyway, and its known for being far gentler on skin that can't be mucked around with. I am very impresssed already, and up until i started hearing how awesome these were, i was all about the clarisonic mia myself originally. The mia 2 is good, don't get me wrong, but it takes ages to charge compared to the luna 2, no massager, and the need to constantly replace the heads of it is a setback. Its not bad at all, but its definitely far second to the luna 2.
Hi , i experienced dirts stucked in between the silicon brittles . Just wonder do you face the same problem? If you do , may I know how do you clean it pls ?
I haven to noticed that problem before, but sometimes mine does get dirty looking if I am wearing certain types of makeup. The silicone bristles don't hold bacteria so if you are just worried about the actual dirt or product buildup it can be easily fixed. What I do is I buy an inexpensive toothbrush and I place a bit of soap on my foreo then wet the toothbrush and the foreo. Then I just gently use the toothbrush to scrub the foreo and it should remove any product that has built up on the device! :) I hope that helps! :)
Izabela Lomnicki Hey! The Foreo Fofo has a removable battery! If you look at the bottom there are two little screws. If you unscrew those, that’s where the battery is kept and you can replace it 😁
Ana Luchesi I’ve never had to change the batteries on the Fofo and I’ve also have been using it off and on since I got it in my fabfitfun box. Foreos are notorious for having a ridiculously long battery life! Their website says each set of batteries should last 400 uses (over 1 year if used once a day and over 6 months if used twice a day). The battery life claims stated on their website have been accurate in my experience, so I think you could expect it to last 6 month to a year before having to change the batteries! 😁
