Update. 253,000 delivery miles now. Runs and shifts excellent. Does need suspension work of course but has served me very well. Had 194,000 when I got it Jan 2017. Paid 950.00.
That taurus had the Duratec motor, quite impressed it ran that long. We have had a few Taurii in the family over the years, the pushrod V6 Vulcan motors sucked, but the DOHC motors always lasted a long time. Tough car, as long as it was treated right in its early life, they will work and drive for 300K plus with maintenance and not driving it like its a sports car. (didnt stop me tho lol) I miss my old SHO's too.
shome1289 Gotta disagree the DOHC motor is nice but the Vulcan is the tough motor. Timing belt ( DOHC) and aluminum heads vs the Vulcan timing chain and iron heads. No comparison.

I do Derby's all the time I ran there last year and fucked up the neon my number is 1201 and I have seen alot of shit like that and if u derby any where else and ur car goes anywhere near your tank u a disqualified no questions asked so if u don't know the facts fuck off
That #9 car should be put in a museum or used during the towns local celebration parade each year. Put it on a flatbed in a parade and people will look at it in amazement that it still ran.
