They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! I think you better start with their Italian covers. I highly recommend L'immensitá, Parla piu piano (the Godfather OST), Nella Fantasia (from Gabriel's Oboe, OST of The Mission), In un'altra vita, Dell'amore non si sa, Come un eterno addio, etc. If you know the song, you would be enjoying their covers better. Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. Benvenuto nel magico mondo dei Forestella e grazie per la tua interessante analisi di questa loro cover. Che bello, finalmente un vocal Coach italiano si interessa a questi splendidi e talentuosi artisti. É da qualche anno che li seguo e non mi hanno mai delusa: sempre bravissimi, emozionanti ed eleganti, grandissimi professionisti. Voci incantevoli ma potenti e armonizzazioni pazzesche. Le loro cover, che spesso mi piacciono più delle versioni originali, hanno degli arrangiamenti sempre molto personali, ma rispettosi nei confronti dell’originale. Il mio preferito è Kang Hyung Ho, il controtenore e rocker del gruppo, esempio perfetto di come passione, perseveranza e bravura possano fare in modo che un sogno diventi realtà (è l’unico del gruppo a non aver avuto un istruzione musicale classica ed accademica, fino a qualche anno fa lavorava come chimico, ma non per questo è da meno degli altri). Tra le tante cover ci sono anche diversi tributi a canzoni italiane come “Nella Fantasia”, “L’immensità”, “In un’altra vita”. Mi piacerebbe sentire il tuo parere anche sulle loro canzoni originali “Save our lives” e “Utopia” che amo molto.

Bravissimo gruppo...cover dei Forestella migliore dell'originale di Mecano...a mio parere. 🥰 la loro armonia è incredibile. Bisogna sentire il loro "Je suis malade" e "Savoir aimer", e Sweet dreams, Bohemian Rhapsody, Smooth criminal ecc...👍 Tutti e quattro di formazione lirica, e si sente. 💕

Spesso ho sentito dire che un alto livello tecnico e la ricerca della perfezione uccide l’emozione; i Forestella dimostrano ampiamente il contrario. Tra le interpretazioni più emozionanti ed appassionate che ho visto e sentito.

Prima di stasera pensavo fosse un cantante solo 🤣🤣🤣 non avevo mai ascoltato niente di Forestella. Comunque sono stupendi. Il ragazzo ha dei bassi da pazzi 😳

Che bello, finalmente anche un vocal coach italiano che li scopre! Questa canzone fu " galeotta" anche per me perché io li ho scoperti a Dicembre scorso grazie ad un reel su IG proprio con questa canzone ed ero tipo " ???? che sta succedendo" ahaha Ora li seguo molto da vicino e mi sono vista praticamente quasi tutte le esibizioni. Alcune le amo particolarmente e te le consiglio. Sicuramente, come hanno scritto altri, devi guardarti Bohemian Rhapsody, poi io ti consiglio Scarborough Fair che è stupenda, sembra di stare in un film fantasy, Till , Angel, Bad Romance, e potrei dirne altre 20 ma ora ti lascio queste. Ce ne sono davvero tante di esibizioni loro, in più ci sono anche delle canzoni originali con anche l' MV che sono Utopia ( l'ultima uscita pochi mesi fa ) e Save our lives che è stupenda. Attendo altre tue reactions su di loro perché sei stato molto bravo ad analizzare il tutto. ^_^

FORESTELLA è molto versatile e creativa. Cantano in varie lingue e hanno anche un vasto repertorio italiano. Consiglio L'immensità, In un'altra vita, parla piu piano, Nella fantasia dei loro classicissimi brani. Ma anche le loro versioni popolari di Bad Romance, Bohemian Rhapsody, Sweet Dreams, Smooth Criminal, Shape of You, Inner Universe sono incredibili e sempre sorprendenti.

Di Hijo de la luna la versione dei Mecano mi proietta in una dimensione un pò flamenca non come ritmo ma come atmosfere, tipo c'è la Luna che è una presenza 'oscura'. Invece i Forestella mi trasportano in un mondo magico tipo Harry Potter... Mi piacerebbe seguire una tua reazione a Scarborogh Fair... Grazie e buon lavoro

Scusa se mi permetto Giacomo...ma nella tua analisi vocale, quello che tu definisci il quarto cantante, non vorrei sbagliare, ma è sempre il basso (il primo a sinistra: Woorim). Il "quarto" (il baritono versatile) entra in gioco solo verso la fine del pezzo...almeno a me pare così... Ad ogni modo io li adoro❤.
