Love your reaction so much … what a shame it’s blocked in their country. This performance is what I often recommend people to watch if they want to get an idea of who Forestella is….and like a commenter here has said …I also get the feeling they’re singing to each other here …these lyrics are so powerful even 50+ years later…even more poignant when you realise the songwriter died in a plane crash a few months after his wife told him she was pregnant with their first child…the song became a hit posthumously for Jim Croce. ….’there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do, once you find them….’ 😢 When you get to know Forestella more, you will pick up on their amazing chemistry and brotherhood…they are like family…even closer than some actual blood families. They have been through a lot so it’s worth reading through the longer comments which contain a lot of meaty information about their journeys. In the beginning they would spend about 300 days a year together, practicing and honing their skills..which is why there is a plethora of ah-mazing performances. KBS, JTBC and others have compilation specials of individual Forestella performances…
As I said, all members of FORESTELLA are incredible talents and excellently trained top-class vocalists. This group is very versatile and incredibly creative. No song is the same as the one that preceded it. Mostly they reinterpret legendary covers, giving them a twist, making each song their own, always respecting the original. Their very special mix of various genres and styles as well with classical vocals and vocal techniques with contemporary music is groundbreaking. All this and their incredible voices and abilities make them one of the best vocal groups in the world.
Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Forestella again! This performance was for the 1st round of Phantom Singer All Stars. (I'll say PSAS) PSAS could be filmed because serious covid situation made every concert canceled. For that reason they had online audience and a few celeb guests only. All the finalists groups from 3 seasons were invited and each round had a specific themes. Forestella is the 2nd season's winner. Each season has 3 final groups and all the final 9 groups were invited to PSAS. The celebrity guests and online audience voted to someone they liked. There were 7 rounds with different theme. But one theme was solo performance representing the group and one theme was seasons' match. So each group had 5 songs as a whole group. They compete on the themes given and sometimes compete as solo, as member-changed quartet or duet in this show. The theme for the 1st round was making stage representing the own originality of themselves. As you saw they showed their originality like this. And I felt the lyrics was what they're talking to each other because they came through tough times together for years and share strong bond among them. BTW I got chills when I came to know the time was going backwards! See the clock face was reversed. These genius artists made me imagine a story about the Time in a bottle this way. Every time they make me love them even more than ever!

@@TheSpeakEasyLoungePerhaps play this one to John in another post…it’s weird that the view numbers are so low here when everywhere else it’s very high. This is a brilliant interpretation of Jim Croce’s song…I view the sudden explosive change of the song in their version as a way of telling how suddenly Croce ran out of time when his plane crashed during take off … he was on his way to a concert, killing all on board. It was a week before his son’s 2nd birthday. Jim Croce was only 30.He was doing his last round of concerts before retiring to his farm..
I think it will be interesting to check their original songs those have full English lyrics. Please consider to react to For Life, Save our lives (it has some Latin lyrics tho, most of the lyrics is in English), UTOPIA (other than 2 Spanish verses and a Latin verse, all in English), White Night and KOOL.
