From Jeff Wayne's classic musical version of the War of the Worlds and a huge hit for the voice of the Moody Blues, of whom I am a diehard fan. We had the great pleasure of seeing this performed live when Jeff Wayne took it on the road, and what a musical spectacle it was.
Geeks, Nerds and Anoraks corner.
Some full-tone bends to do here so the only choice was the Squier Classic Vibe 50s Strat fitted with 10 gauge Elixirs. Once again I used the spacious Wonderful Land echo on the Hall and Collins unit, patch 16. I used the bridge pickup with the tone control turned down to number 7 to take the edge off those trebley highs, and this went straight into the Tascam DP24 with no EQ adjustments and nothing added. It doesn't get much simpler than this, and that's the way I like it!
I forget which backing track I used but it is freely available on mp3now.com.
