This song, "Forever Autumn" is one of my all time favourites. When I stumbled over this superb karaoke track on RU-vid, I couldn't believe my luck.
So stick on the headphones, Wack the volume up, and hopefully, enjoy my version. Dave

About the song...
"Forever Autumn" is a song by Jeff Wayne, Gary Osborne and Paul Vigrass. The original melody was written by Wayne in 1969 as a jingle for a Lego commercial. Vigrass and Osborne, the performers of the original jingle, added lyrics to the song and recorded it for inclusion on their 1972 album Queues.
The best-known version is the recording by Justin Hayward from the album Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds. Wayne wanted to include a love song on the album that sounded like "Forever Autumn", and he decided that the best course of action was to simply use the original song. Hayward, of The Moody Blues, was hand-picked by Wayne to sing it (because, Wayne said, he "wanted that voice from 'Nights In White Satin'"), and it was recorded at London's Advision Studios in 1976. The song reached #5 on the UK Singles Chart in August 1978.

Forever Autumn is probably one of my favourite songs of all time - it always gives me goosebumps when I listen to it and this beautiful instrumental version does the same thing, carrying the same depth of emotion all through that beautiful guitar work. Absolutely splendid!

I haven't seen the show. But I loved Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds. The backing track is on RU-vid as "Forever Autumn Karaoke". It was an amazing find for me. I remember buying the double LP of 'War Of The Worlds' and when that wore out getting the CD and then the 25 Anniversary CD and now the new edition CD is on the way..... so yes a big fan of this. Didn't know there was a BT Dave, so now I must put this in my 'To Do' book! A great version my friend and an extremely pleasant five and a half minutes. Great recording Dave. Sound is great, tones excellent and well played. It must be great minds think alike - I downloaded this karaoke at beginning of December, learned it, but not got round to recording it yet. I need to work hard to keep up with your 2 a week. I ‘ve always regarded “Forever Autumn” as a Justin Hayward signature song. Nothing is as good as the original, but this comes very close. Would you ever consider doing a video on “Hallelujah” (the Leonard Cohen version)? Other versions of the song reflect the individual singer’s purity of voice, rather than the lyrics. In the song, David strayed away from the Lord. Cohen’s voice reflects the raw pain that David might have felt in the situation. I enjoy the precision and the attention to the original singers’ voices in your playing. Please carry on with your videos. They make my day!

Hi Dave, Normally I find that 3 minutes or so is long enough for an instrumental. But Justin Hayward was my favorite when he was a Moody Blues and also when he went solo. But in this Jeff Wayne production he is great again. Of course I have that album (LP). I think you succeeded in creating your own version taht is linked to the original. My compliments. br. JanW
