A drawer microwave might prove to be a blessing several years down the line when a person's parents start to age. My grandmother doesn't have the same mobility that she used to and she keeps a stool in her kitchen and sits when she cooks. She can easily reach into the drawer microwave from the stool, if she had one above her stove she would not be able to access it easily.

What a wonderful video. I absolutely LOVE your mother’s style. My husband passed away last year and only got to spend 5 nights in the house that we renovated together. I have small children, so I have a noisy house, but I can appreciate your mother’s strength at getting used to a house on her own. I think it’s wonderful that she’s close by to you xx Also, I’ve never personally used one, but bidets are better for your colon health apparently. People who use them love them 🤷🏻‍♀️☺️

I'm short too and I use a grabber to get most things. Fortunately, my son is 6'4" ( he got it from his dad) and he can get anything I can't reach. I have arthritis and I can't get up on a ladder.

Your moms house is so beautiful. I love the careful thought and love she has put into each room and bathroom in her home. The cast-iron bathroom sink is awesome. Reminds me of the house I grew up in and our claw foot tub and sink. The barn doors... how special to have a piece of her grandmother's barn!! I am glad I found you. If I am ever in a position to build I will put thought into each room/bathroom. Most people just do standard things. Y'all are awesome!

I redid my U shaped kitchen now i have a 11 ft island and git rid of U shape. My island has 2 lg pit drawers , cupboards, recycling and trash drawers, dishwash , dbl sinks ,power on either end plus usb charge outlets and seating. This is a life changer

Thank you for this amazing tour her house is absolutely gorgeous in fact it’s good looking a lot like what my forever home is going to look like I hope in retrospect I have the 1980s full set of beanie short tails babies on top of my fridge I got them in mint condition paid $50 for all five of them together so I love vintage things mine might be a little out of place being in the kitchen but it brings character to a house absolutely love the home tour thank you for sharing

Amazing. Her house is absolutely gorgeous! How fantastic to see you two together. Love your relationship! How funny with you in the tub. Hilarious. I do love her windows in the bathroom. I have a funny for you guys. When we were stationed in Spain, we had a bidet and we used it for a Beta fish tank. Hahaha had a blue beta fish 🐟 in it and it had rocks and a small bush and all. Easy peasy clean up. When people came over they loved it. She has great taste...your momma.

Why is the bidet so far away from the toilet? I bought one that could be attached to the toilet last spring during the great TP shortage of 2020, and love mine, but wouldn't want to get up and move.

Your mom's house is absolutely gorgeous!!! I love all of the decorations she has so far. I also really like the book you told us about. I think I might get one for each of my daughter in laws next mothers day. I think it's so wonderful & that you will enjoy being so close to each other. I live in Michigan & my youngest sister lived in the UP for 25 years. My sister & her family moved back down near the rest of the family 10 years ago, and it is so nice to have her so close.

Her old furniture is when furniture was made in USA and made to last! Our bedroom furniture is Hooker as well. I wanted to pass it down to my children and grandchildren! For sure not Ashley aka Chinese quality!
