no matter how many years will pass LOTR will always be dear to my heart , movies I grew up movies that will never be replaced even if theres adaption in some future times
This made me teary eyed in both the beauty of it as well as the greatness of Legolas and Orlando, but also at the years gone by. I was 10 when the first film came out and I loved it straight away (had never heard of The Lord of the Rings before then) and Legolas was my favourite and first 'crush'. It reminds me of simpler times and how people seem to have forgotten them (as well as the overall message being told), I wish I could go back to the early 2000's and never leave. Give me films like LOTR's again, can't believe they started filming it 20 years ago.
I never thought Orlando bloom was anything special until I saw him dressed as Legolas for a long while I didn't even know if was him but I can never choose if I fangirl more for Legolas or frodo
Forever young, forever apart... He shall live forever and shall never know of a mortal girl that looks after him... for he shall have my heart forever!...
Tolkien wrote in the LOTR that seasons change like days for elves. That men are BLESSED with death. They don't have to see all they love (outside of elves) die, even trees and mountains. That men go to the greater beyond while elves are stuck on middle-earth to look after it.
He's so cute! You know, I don't really care for Orlando but I have to admit he did a pretty good job playing Legolas. I love it when he's got that intence stare and the light is in his eyes; It makes him look like he really does have sharp elf eyes. XD
I'd give anything in the whole world to meet Legolas. U know all u guys think Legolas is just Orlando and that but I believe that he is out there and I hopefully will meet him some magical day. So u know how I feel look up somewhere by within temptation and listen to the words carefully love Legolas always will no matter what happens
I want to be forever young too. But I do want to be and look a little older (I'm 12), so I could later on search Legolas somewhere. And if I can't, I'll search for Orlando Bloom. I don't believe in miracles, but God, if only this would happen to me. Living forever with Legolas/Orlando is right now my only dream.
Legolas: I like your sleeves...they're really big. Éowyn: Thanks...I made them myself. Legolas: So you and Aragorn are getting pretty serious now? Éowyn: No, we're just friends. ... Sorry, couldn't resist. Nice video!

The eldar are'nt stuck anywhere. When they hear the call of the sea, they'll sail to the blessed realm (Amman/Valinor, which is their version of heaven, only they will be alive to enjoy it). At least those of them that sailed there. Irregardless even those of them whom were released from the Halls of Mandos, would be in possession of their memories, and they will be reunited with their loved ones. Truly the ones blessed are the elves. What the second born (men) received was the "gift" of death.
Why forever young? Well, just offhand, I'd guess because Legolas was at the fall of Sauron the first time around, and now, what, a thousand years later, he looks the same? Could that be it?
Gandalf has walked on Arda for trhee ages I think, and that means the first-third age, wich is... approximately 7495 years, including both tree and sun. Perhaps Gandalf was... born...?... after the beginning of the First Age, though I do doubt that Legolas would be older than Gandalf o_o Perhaps a misunderstanding from the book. According to the LotR wiki, he's AT MOST 999 years old. You all should read that text. It's interesting, and useful to read
