Dear Carson, I am a songwriter from Germany, now 65 years old. I wrote the lyrics to this song in his photo album for the birth of our second son because the lyrics to this song mean so much to me. My son is now 38 years old. That's how long ago it was. Today I hear your interpretation of this song. I'm sitting here at the computer right now and crying. Carson, you have a voice, a timbre that goes straight to the heart. Gorgeous! I think it's great that your generation is recreating all the beautiful songs of my generation. I'm a big fan of yours and I really like your own songs! I know you have a great career ahead of you. Always stay the way you are. Authentic!

The mixture of this song, the budding trees and the chirping birds outside, and my upcoming graduation makes for such an indescribable feeling that I can only humbly thank you for, Carson :)

Your take is clear and identifiable but you present the original lyrics and tune superbly. Many thanks and good luck in the future. In my listening to Bob’s music over many years I should add that Forever Young, with it’s anthemic base, is very hard to cover with just a simple guitar and voice. Congratulations. Keep posting!
