Seeing your playlist popularity reminds me of the 80/20 rule, well for me at least. easily 80% of my progress thus far were from 20% of the videos, and most of them were related to money management or psychology, and everything just fits really slowly but steadily. Thanks VP.

A few weeks ago I started to look at H1/H4 timeframes using my system. Big mistake. Then I tried putting tighter stop losses for bigger rewards. Big mistake. Now I am back trading my original system and on track. Don’t get smart with the market, you will lose.

Thanks for this one! One thing that trips me up is letting the trade breathe after I place my trade. It's easy to feel good when you enter a trade and it's going the direction you want. Much harder when you see it getting closer to the stop-loss lol. Those three simple points are cemented at the top of my notes haha

Emotions need to be eliminated when trading. I'm a robog, lol. This is super hard. This is one of my biggest issues, working on this everyday!

Is funny, because people first tend to not pay attention to psychology until they have experienced the market in its true form. Until you have a truly experience in the market when you don't know what to do, or what Happened, why you didn't close THAT trade, or you blew your account for real ( or almost) you'll definitely be searching for books and videos of psychology in forex like a guy searchs for water in the desert... But it's okay, you'll come back to these types of videos, is just a matter or time. Also ppl think psychology is overrated in the first stages (like position sizing) without knowing that those are the two things big traders drills the most...but oh well... I do like them so I'll keep watching them, ty VP

interested in knowing your thoughts on the Fisher Transform. It has provided a really clear and effective confirmation indicator for me lately. for me this indicator is not about finding trades but avoiding bad trades when the Fisher Transform is not low enough.

I just caught myself yesterday thinking about “Hey, maybe instead of 20:1 go 25:1....Hey, maybe 4% instead of 2%!!” Trying to get creative with an already winning system = Losing. I can see why these are the lowest rating, even though being highly important, People are not listening.You can tell caz, Even in the community, (reddit/discord and what not) people talking about 1hr and 4hr charts fuck even 15min, posting results without back testing using indicators you've said are rubbish from the dirty dozen. Lol. Breaking rules you've set and explained. The ones who actually listen, really appreciate you VP. Sharing you experience and Knowledge is a gift. i was just thinking about those trades that just need 1 or 2 more pips to hit my TP before falling down to my SL, and maybe lower that a bit 😁😁😁 the problem is that if i lower them, there would be a trade that needs to be lowered even a bit more than that, and so it goes on to the point that my TP would be 0 pips away from my entry point 😁

One thing I fail to understand is why aiming for 1% return when im trading with £1000... I had tried to risk 1% on a trade and I found myself overtrading....now that I aim for 10-15% im taking less trades and being more raizer focussed. I also think that its unfair to get people to aim for 1% when your account is in the 100s of thousands....your 1% of £100 000 is enough to make a week or trade....but for me 1% of £1000 (£10) or even £10 000 (£100) is not enough per month, hence I would end up taking more trades. When I get to £100 000 then ill start aiming for 1-2% (£1000-£2000).... You need to be weary of each person's account situations. Great work as always. Thanks

why do we always compare trading and traders with warren buffet? doesn’t he do investments? isn’t that pretty different than forex trading? no one holds GBP for years...? also, his goldman sacs and 10% guaranteed return kinda helps. smart man. shouldn’t be worshipped for trading. for investing and finance strategy, definitely.

after some years of trading, its true ,u need lots of cash to trade and earn that humble amount every month like 1%..never easy to trade the market and thinking u can make good money....all wrong...the thing about daily trade,holding trade for few days.could prove better results.. recently i place trade on gbpnzd, i hold my trade for about 10days.. my entry was 1.90696,to sell n market reverse all the way to 1.91150...lucky my SL is about 300 pips away i set,i set alway at 2 times of the atr...finally i took my profit at 1.89873..did a1 lot..and my small account size is 50000..very conservative...needs lots of patience to trade the daily chart.. cross pair u need min 200 pips,especially gbp cross pairs.. just to share...VP hit the spot... daily chart helps alot.. ..cheers VP

My first trade i put in $1,000.00 into the dollar. Overnight I gain $1,500.00 giving me a total of $2.500.00. i was so scare i took all profits off the table. Because i know the faster i won. Thats how fast i knew i could loose it all. I may have saw the light that day. But behind the light wasn't God. VP is right. Eventhough this video is five years old. It still says even in good times, you can still loose.

@3:28 A great audio book to listen to is by Dr Alexander Elder: Trading for a Living (psychology, trading tactics, money management). That book should be a prerequisite for this channel.

I like what you said about trying to outsmart the system by trading with your brain. I would say the system is not smarter than a human brain because it doesn't think, but just does as told, which is consistency. Consistency is more important than being smart. Like Bruce Lee once said, "I am not afraid of a kung fu master who knows thousands of moves, but I am afraid of the one who has practiced one move thousands of times." If you practice any move thousands of times, that move is going to be deadly. Society has told us that we need to know more and be smarter, but in reality, you only need to have an average IQ + consistency to succeed. Warren Buffet said, "you only need an IQ of 120 to do what I do." In real life, he gets up at 7 every single day to watch the news, read reports... He's been consistently doing that for 70 or so years. Ray Dalio said in his book, "you spend 20% of time to learn 80% of one thing and 80% of time learn the other 20%." I guess most people don't have the patience to spend 80% of their time digging deeper to fully understand something.

my psychology is pretty trash. i freak out about my wins and losses on my demo account. and i have backed tested my strat thousands of time. its a winner, and now forward testing has me completely stressed out. how will i feel when i trade OPM?? or my money?? baby steps..
