Dude. Incredible cinematography ontop of the manufacturing process of this. Mat Armstrong might be needing some forged carbon parts for Rashford’s Wraith rebuild…I smell a collab 🤘🏻

If you don't decide to actually ship the final product, would you consider selling the STL files for people to print and assemble themselves? That would reduce some of your logistical overhead but still allow people to have access to what seems to be an amazing project

Agreed here. I would happily pay a healthy amount to make this myself as I've been looking for a wireless charging stand and the one I mocked up doesn't look nearly as good as this..

@@Mookl_designI would do 10-20USD for a download. If he got 1000 downloads that’s 10-20k that’s not bad. Would easily help him get a small production going and some sales.

First I have to say that I am truly impressed with the quality of your work, including your video production. This is an incredible time for people as creative and talented as yourself. For 37 years I worked for two small electronic manufacturing companies doing electronic product design. Due to the relatively small sales volumes for our products we had to design around the few of our custom injection moulded enclosures, or design around off the shelf enclosures. The recent availability of low cost 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, 3D design software has really exploded the possibilities for someone to do this kind of work. Having said that, as I was watching the previous video (after finding this one), I wondered how much this personal project has cost you. I hope you can continue to post your work. I look forward to seeing what you come up with and how you got there. I retired a couple of years ago. My retirement plan is to spend more time doing purely personal projects. While some of my projects will be electronic related my main interest at this time is doing some metal casting. Maybe doing a electric velomobile project. So many possibilities.

You could make a new multi-cavity compression tool. If you upped the number of cavities to 4 you'd effectively reduce your production times to a quarter and can also therefore batch activities which overall will increase your throughput. Even if you made two 2-cavitity compression molds you could be laying up one whilst the other is curing in the oven and still see a large increase in throughput by being able to batch stages. Also, the matte finish is incredible. That's definitely the way I would go.
