Albuquerque, NM, USA, here. Nice touch on recipe. I agree with Tennessee post about our phyllo dough being dry, and we brush melted natural butter on the square sheets. This may change the amount of milk (less milk to add). Also, though, the recipe turned out delicious! For those who aren't sure of 180 degrees celcius... in USA it's 350 degrees farenheit. From Colorado, USA. Once again, a winning (and unique) recipe! I always have a planned dinner in mind having lived a life of PRE-planning most things, but then I stumble across yet another of your very enjoyable recipes and it often throws a spanner in my plans because I say to myself "Ohhh, I think I'll make THAT!" I especially liked the 'pleating' of the Phyllo dough sheet (Your sheet is massive compared to what is available to me 18" x 14") and the final result. Someone mentioned 'Tiropita'. I've had tiropita and never seen it made like your recipe. Will confess though, I will be 'jazzing' up your recipe a tad by adding more of what you included AND some other tasty ingredients...cannot wait until I give your recipe a GO! You had me at the feta cheese! Hello from Chattanooga, Tennessee USA. I actually watched and saved this about a month ago. I just recently tried it!! Absolutely love it. The phillo sheets here are a bit different; they dry out really fast and are squared. So i had to brush mine with melted butter on both sides first; to keep them supple enough to fold like in the video. I did try it without but they dried too much and cracked before cooking. I chose melted butter for added flavor on my second try. My family loves your recipe!! Thanks

Это пита из теста "фило".Можно было так же сделать банничку,завернув лист теста с начинкой в рулет,и после оставить такой же формы или свернуть в виде улитки.😊Вкусно так же,такой сыр с блитвой,праз,шпинатом.

Kirma!! My grandma used to make for us all by hand and she would make the topping liquid very simple 3 eggs 0.5 kg sour cream and one glass of milk. And it would cover the topping generously. Yumm. Thank you for sharing your recipe
My grandma was from Varna Bulgaria and Kirma Borek was her speciality for every family meetings 😢 Still missing the taste of Kirma Borek and the days of my childhood.❤

This looks simple to throw together - simple and tasty. I have problems with phyllo pastry cracking through dryness so I avoid using it but your recipe is tempting! From Australia.
Yes, it would as long as you pour that mixture on the pastry (5:44), which would cover and sticks the other ingredients together and prevents them from falling because of the eggs. That mixture also makes the pastry soft and edible because of the yogurt and milk.
@@lesleygardiner2342 To my experience, due to the chemical compounds of mineral water and the "regular" (NOT fizzy/carbonated) lemonade, the result would be certainly different. HOW? The mineral water helps other ingredients (especially the dough) rise and gives the pastry a puffy texture. The regular lemonade, on the other hand, very LIKELY makes your pastry mushy and unpleasant to eat. Still, you have the liberty to prefer either one. Enjoy! 🙂

@@L.a.r.o.s.s I think that big round thin dough looks same as for apple strudel . My friend makes the dough with the help of her husband..two people stretch the dough very thin on a pastry cloth. Then covers the dough with very thin slices of apples, sugar and cinnamon.and roll up to bake.
