eBay is AWFUL! The last straw just happened yesterday. Not only are the FEES ridiculous, they do not care about the sellers. I've been scammed now three times and lost $100's of dollars. Thank you so much for this video.

They don't really care about the buyers either. There is still noo request total button on the mobile app, so buyers often have to pay s/h for each item, instead of getting a new combined invoice. So much for eBay's advocacy for combined shipping!

I tried to sell a $600 Nikon. Guy with a EBay store bought my camera but filed a refund. Meanwhile he listed it to sell for a higher price. Meanwhile EBay made me refund him $600 via PayPal. After a month the guy didn't sell My Camera for $800 so he returned it to me. Meanwhile I lost a real buyer. People told me that's just the cost of doing business! Not me, Bye EBay

I had a guy do this and mark item by x10. Never sold, it went to a remaling service, never had full name, big red country scammer. Had listed the item in another country too. I did not get a return. Really strange stuff.

When I post on eBay I get 15 or so views the first two days then never any more. It seems eBay limits views to make seller spend money on advertising!

I hate ebay, but that gets me buyers outside my local area. I also place ads on CL and FB, and reduce the price by 15~20% for my local buyers. So I have to make 3 ads, to find my buyer.

Lost me at the beginning when you started talking about Shopify. NOT an eBay alternative. We are NOT BIG 500 FORTUNE companies. A lot of us are just downsizing and need a marketplace to do that. You need to change the title of your video - it is HIGHLY misleading!

You have recommended 3 alternatives to eBay seem like a lot of work, and sounds kind of sketchy. As someone just trying to make money without a STORE, the eBay fees are high, yes, but there is no rent, no electric, no water, etc. I will say, as a past ebay seller, coming back has been a real pain in the tukus! Ebay is Not what is once was; really! you have to ship BEFORE getting paid? I understand, there are a lot of shady sellers for sure, why do the good ones have to suffer.

Ebay is the worst. After 24 years of dedicated selling I fell under their standards because I had to cancel several orders due to receiving damaged stock from my wholeseller. Now I am restricted for a whole year and can only sell a much smaller amount of items than normal. They could care less. To them you are a worthless peon!

One of the biggest problems with eBay is the lack of a Request Total button on the mobile app. It is still on the standard platform. Some sellers seem to have it figured out- I guess? But some of us are lost in the dark. I have tried this and that under all of my shipping policies, and not much seems to work.

Hostinger is a scam, they ask for ID and hold your website & domain ransom, it’s a privacy nightmare. I never consented to give my ID BEFORE I PAID FOR PREMIUM….. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I think your best option is the old fashioned way- brick and stone store. Shipping would be very expensive, so your best option is just to have a website for the advertising, much like many places would do. You could still sell your furniture on it though, but it would be pickup only, unless you wanted to use your own transport to deliver the furniture.

Not correct, they have a callback service. My wife speaks to them at least 1/week. If you are lucky you get the Irish/UK reps

yeah in Canada it goes to some S.E. Asia country, they lie or have no clue what they say. It's awful. I had to get confirmation of a package that was entered delivered to a wrong address...not my fault....did so anyways and they still held my money and blammed their ignorant outsourced reps.

This is a great video. However im so annoyed at all this online e-commerce shit. I feel like its a gift and a curse i hate the way they control shit its ridiculous i miss the brick and motar days. Yes there were other things you had to worry about but you had far more control of your business.
