Hello, Freerk, long time subscriber. You have been my favorite blade artist for a very long time, but with this voiceover you have leaped leagues ahead of the competition. Hearing your thoughts and feelings while creating is superb!! (and yes, more complication for you, but a great compliment to your work). Words are not enough, language is too shallow, and I don't have enough thumbs 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!!!!!
This is by far the most impressive knife build I have ever seen. Thank you! It was very entertaining to watch you work as I kept trying to guess what the finished blade was going to look like. I'm impressed with the brass coating as a finish.❤ ❤❤
I have been watching and admiring your work, I had to show my coworker this video with the voice over, first thing he said "oh, that's awesome! I know is not a new video but the talking part it's amazing. Thank you for showing your skill.
New to your channel and I am hooked. Love seeing your take on something futuristic. It fit the game ascetic perfectly. Cool watching your process and skill. Cannot wait to see more.
I really liked the voiceover! Aside from the interesting information, your voice is very engaging and holds one’s attention a lot more than the usual workshop sounds. I like the workshop sounds too by the way, it’s just that it’s good to have both. Awesome stuff!
It is so satisfying to catch my breath while dog baby takes her mid-morning nap watching you work. An artist and craftsman of note. Your voice over is awesome- hope you are not insulted but I watch everything at double time when the narration is clear and understood everything perfectly.
Your creations are always inspiring, and truly works of art. So many paths could have been taken but your imagination led you along the perfect one. You have a wonderful voice for narration; strong, direct, authoritative and commanding without being demanding. Please continue with your descriptions. 👏😌
I comment multiple times just to support the channel. But I thought the voiceover was right on the money you didn't over explain but still showed what you were doing
Bro I love I fucking love the intro. Also I thought you’d have a super high pitched voice for some reason. Great smithing and creative skills man, keep up the incredible work
Brother your skills have surpassed everyone in the world! 😂 there’s so many good bladsmiths out there. But you my friend! 😳😲😲 beautiful! I can’t stress enough how amazing your skills are.
Hello. Just wanted to say that the voiceover added a lot of personality to the video, as well as great insght on the choices you made through the making of the blade. Great work o style this one, and o boy do I wanna play a character that uses primerally a bowie to face off their enemies, with nothing but a blade on their hand and a smile on their face.
I know it's late, but it was great to hear you and I think was very engaging the way you explained the chemical process behind the anilyng (have no idea how to type it, sorry) I would love to her more about the scientific concepts behind all the fabrication
Where can I buy this?! This blade is amazing and would be an awesome addition to any blade collection! Also, it's always great to hear the smith's thoughts and voice on their process. Keep up the great work!
Hello Freerk, I have been following your work for a long time and really enjoy your process and the narration is a wonderful addition! Thanks so much for sharing these. Would really enjoy meeting you in person one day. Any plans to travel to the US in the future?
Amazing ! I like the normal videos, as well as the voiceovers. With the voiceovers, I think learning from these videos and understanding what and why you do something is a lot easier. This might help a lot of newcoming blade/swordsmiths (like myself :D) Also the auto subtitles work quite nice with your voice it seems. I´m excited for the next videos :) I personally hope we get to see alot more medieval and viking style swords, as I like these most of all your work, even tho everything you make is a piece of art. Greetings from Austria !
Would love to see a 13th century or 12th century classic knights sword forged, I've been through all your videos and you've got some that are close. If you based it off of actual relics from that time era it would be amazing, your craftmanship is so good I feel like you are one of the few modern blacksmiths who could pull it off.
I for one really liked the voice-over. You have a good voice, it sounds right. The knife is spectacular! Your videos are very well done. If I may ask, what would you change? Thank you for sharing your skills!!
Why do you clamp your blades between pieces of wood after quenching? I know it will help to prevent warping, but did you choose wood for any other reason?
An easier way to lay brass on your pieces is to use a dremel tool with a brass wire wheel. Also how long do you spend at the grinder putting bevels on the blade?
This is my second written edit, and because I have watched the making of the knife again, if the knife is for sale, I would love to know for how much? Cyberpunk 2077 on the Xbox X rules way now. The new update really makes the game rock hard and cool.
I also really believe Cyberpunk 2077 was a piece of art. Sure it could’ve used a few extra months of development, but did it take away from the game experience? Not in the slightest, I enjoyed the game start to finish.
My father taught metallurgy & only would do one temper cycle. I Am a professional bladesmith, everyone teaching or big name makers that I know state two temper cycles for two hours is necessary for getting all the carbides to from austenite to martensite. What do you think about that being that you're not in the US ??
it also depends on the quench. if its done to room tem or to 200 and then directly in the temper oven, then in my opinion one is enough. but a differential flame temper is alway a good idea with big blades like this.
CD Project Red set the bar pretty high and I think just fell short of the Witcher series. Still a good game CyberPunk and more people should give it a chance especially now since a lot of the bugs and such have been worked out. Also I like the voiceover man! Way more personal and it’s nice to hear your expertise and you can tell you enjoy what you do.
