"That power that you have inside of yourself. It's a power that in a sense we lock away. We don't want to allow it out because we have been hurt so much and we have been thought to put that power away, that power of forgiveness. But each and every one of us need to forgive because if you don't forgive, it holds you back in life. No matter what wrongs have happened in your life, you still have to forgive to. I always say to everyone, to set yourself free, to give you more courage, more confidence and more belief in yourself."

Forgiveness destroys karma or causality. It changes the meaning of what happened in the past from here within the present moment to set the future free. When we forgive the past we change what happened to make us what we are and that changes the choices we make in creating a new future.

I have totally forgiven and dedicated my life to God and teaching the Word. I must seriously ask.. What about the things people plan on doing to humanity in the future? If we know they are doing wrong from our observation over past times, do we allow others to wrong us, our children and grandchildren and just forgive after they go through with it? I think you should follow this up with something addressing what to do about knowing of others with wrong or hurtful intentions that are being acted on and will be in the future? Humanity needs more than just to forgive.. they need to work on improving the things we as a collective have done or allowed to be done wrong. This is a two part process.

Its not about me being hurt by my family 💔 member. Its the hurt he put on our mother that is unforgivable. Yes it is easy to say forgive. But sometimes we have to live with the deep betrayal and jealousy that was done and process it. Until the wound heals gradually, it cannot be rushed 😢. Not being able to forgive can lead to self criticism and make it worse. Be gentle on oneself we can only forgive when we are ready. Bless 🙌 you Lorna for bringing up this subject you cannot tell someone to forgive it can only happen when the person is ready. 😊💚🙏

Lorna is looking younger here and usually always so bright. It is beautiful to see these recordings done in the gorgeous and precious Sanctuary. Lorna has gone a long way in life from her difficult and poetic childhood to now with talks, courses, books, Sanctuary, the children foundation, etc. Carry on the good work Lorna. You have influenced my life and added to it positively and substantially, and we need your guidance and more people need your love. xxx M

My husband has an issue of not forgiving , bringing up things from the past , I mean 20-50 years ago. I shake my head ! I have let him read in the Bible where we must forgive., also not to judge. Some people just can’t let things go. In his family I see that it is a theme. It makes me sad for him.
@katievictoriabrown
@katievictoriabrown 9 месяцев назад
That’s so sad, all you can do is pray for him. I’ve seen that in my family and particularly with my dad. I told him that it’s futile not to forgive, and after all these years of him being that stubborn person, I’m starting to get through to him. You might want to ask your husband? “What are you getting out of this? What is coming of this?” Maybe we hold on to the hurt and pain to protect ourselves, but I also remember what Lorna said: “you forgive, but you don’t forget, so it doesn’t happen again,” that was on another video or webinar. We can protect ourselves from these things happening again, but we do not need to hold tightly onto this unforgiveness. In unforgiving, we’re not giving to ourselves, that love to ourselves that helps to dissolve that hurt, pain, anger and even bitterness.

I find the easiest way to forgive is to feel into the other person's mindset. If they've hurt you, the reason behind it is always about them and not you. And if you can send them love to help heal their triggers you'll be helping the next beautiful soul that could be projected on by them 🩷

Not a great description Lorna. Holding on to feelings of betrayal are felt as necessary, to hold the offender to account. Not just letting them get away with it! So you'll carry this boulder of unforgiveness til death do you part. But more powerful is the understanding deep in your cosmic self that you're not mad at anyone, almost like a child, the inner self feels only Love , even for the offender . So the feeling of forgiveness is actually a memory of Love .

Forgiveness is not holding on anymore… to the hurt, pain and anger. It’s letting it go. Not because the person is condoned, because you don’t want to hold on to the hurt, pain and anger any more, because it’s not doing you any good and as Lorna said, it’s to free yourself. And I love her article on forgiveness on her website, when she says that the hard things to forgive are when your child has been blown up (horrific for me to mention in these hard times), she continues, the small things are easier to forgive. Most of the time, people didn’t mean to hurt others, most of the time it wasn’t a conscious or deliberate thing. If it was deliberate, I wonder if we could feel sorry for them? That they have become who they are and wonder… they do have a choice to change and become and different and better person and then would we have mercy? Everyone has a choice to change and we all have a choice to have mercy. When people hold onto bitterness and hate and especially after their loved one days, it really shocks me. It looks very different to perceive all this bitterness and hate from the outside and it shocks me. I thought to myself: “I can’t say anything to this woman who is full of bitterness and hate, even after her mum has died, because I don’t see that I’ll be able to get through to her right now, but maybe I’ll pass on to her Lorna’s book Love From Heaven next time I see her, so she can have more genuine joy and peace in herself, from her heart. Because I know that her mum didn’t mean to hurt her or cause her pain.” Sometimes it’s hard to get through to people full of bitterness and anger. They don’t see beyond it. But I say, to be honest, nothing comes from it, holding on to all that bitterness, hate, anger and pain. I see in people a stubborn entitlement to hold on to it, but for the person looking in on the outside, it doesn’t look very good seeing all that bitterness and hate especially in the other person. I have to say, because I see the world these days finding it harder to forgive, at least here in my home country in the UK.

It is not easy sometimes to forgive but then when I think of all that God has forgiven me for I find the strength and courage to forgive the worst even so to be honest sometimes when the same people just suddenly does something mean and nasty to me I become a bit angry again but I think that forgiveness is really a daily experience thank you Lorna for all your videos I have learned a lot from them especially in the way that you are so loving caring and kind....

Should we forgive if someone deliberatly harmed us for personal gain, without any remorse later?
@vickymarinou6271
@vickymarinou6271 9 месяцев назад
Yes. It doesn't mean that you should embrace them in your lives but just forgive them knowing that we are all connected and your unforgiveness will negatively affect you too
@adrianszekely5900

@@vickymarinou6271 My issue with forgiveness, is that it doesnt seems like a choice. Its not like I can decide to forgive, and than feel like it. I can say in my head that I forgive now, but the feelings of anger and hate will still be there. They dont disappear just because in my head I made the choice to forgive.
@vickymarinou6271
@vickymarinou6271 9 месяцев назад
@@adrianszekely5900 This is a problem for all of us including me. Believe me. If you just start by saying it even though you don't feel it, those words will work on your heart and you'll be surprised when one day you'll suddenly realise that you don't care anymore about what that person did to you. That's when you will realise that you forgave them.
