I am exploring small towns in this great country. These places are the most beautiful parts of America and should never be forgotten. I traveled to Lucedale, Ms to visit its oldest restaurant. The Landmark Cafe and Grill has been here since 1917 and guess what, the food is absolutely fabulous.
We also visit the tiny township of Wade, Ms to go to a diner that has been here since the 50’s.

Enjoyed the video. I grew up a mile outside the Lucedale city limits. My Great Aunt owned the building that is currently the Landmark Cafe from 1958 to 1970 and it was Taylor's Cafe during that time. It was the Greene's Cafe before she owned it. There are two books called By The Rivers of Water, a history of George County (Volumes One and Two). They are true treasure coves of information about George County. I have Volume Two and in it there are pictures of Tennessee Ernie Ford and Tom Lester (Eb from Green Acres) in front of The Scratching Post.
