We are in the old Uzunburun, one of the abandoned, perhaps forgotten, villages of the region for some unknown reason. Uzunburun was a village where shepherds lived. It is such a beautiful valley that it hid itself behind the mountains as if it was angry with Dikili. It's like a land of sweet peace.
This beautiful valley takes us to Katıralanı village. This is a village at the top. In the hills, so close to the sea but not seeing it. As I walk from the village square through the slightly sloping streets towards the hill, the sounds made by turkeys and roosters excite my heart, as if I heard a song I haven't listened to for a long time. The newly blooming flowers of the almond trees leaning against the stone houses, with the sun behind them, seemed to be greeting us.
After passing through the stone walls, we arrive at a beautiful place.
I've always admired people who follow their dreams. While having a coffee break in the Lavender Garden, which Erol Bey and Neşe Hanım created with their nails, and witnessing the pleasant conversations of such beautiful people, we say that we are glad we came here. We are so glad we met Erol Bey and Neşe Hanım.
