Or how about Real Bout Garou Densetsu Special: Dominated Mind on the playstation? that's kinda the last Fatal Fury game to have the original cast before Garou: Mark of the Wolves...!

@superhavi
@superhavi 2 года назад
@@Nervensaege That's because the sample quality is quite low and they chose the words wisely. Those two sentences can be transcribed into katakana quite easily and will sound very convincing. A couple come to mind; Rygar: The Legendary Journeys for PS2 was released and quickly overlooked (It's regrettably not a great game and didn't really stand out among the many similar releases) and Battletoads In Battlemaniacs for SNES was very attractive visually but didn't really move the needle like the first game did, although I played it quite a bit up until stage five which I never understood how to properly navigate. Here are a few additional things that could've been mentioned in the Rayman section: - while minor, all versions of Rayman 1 had some differences in level designs - every version of Rayman 2 is different from one another in terms of presentation, level design, boss fights, and in the case of the PS1 version, standard voice acting not gibberish voice acting - Rayman 2 also came out on the DS and the 3DS, the former being based on the N64 version while the latter was based on the Dreamcast one - Rayman 3 also got 2 GBA games: the first one being a traditional 2D version of the game and the second is a direct continuation of the story

I wondered if he was going to mention the GBA games. (I never thought that Rayman 3 on console was obscure.) Actually, it would be interesting to see an episode about good portable installments of games. It's easy to say, "oh, this is probably just the same game that's on console, but worse", but I've heard of portable renditions that are better than the console one. Sonic Boom is reportedly a lot better on 3DS than on Wii U, for example, as it's a completely different game.

This is gonna be a hot take, but hear me out: when it comes to Mario Kart, I feel people forget about Super Circuit (on GBA) and 7 (on 3DS). The console entries all have something that stood out, such as the two-driver mechanic, the bikes and the anti-gravity. Mario Kart DS, while handheld, was the first to offer online multiplayer and the tracks themselves are memorable, such as Waluigi Pinball and Aerial Fortress. - Super Circuit was a mix between Super and 64, but everything was flat and the controls were apparently different, as if they were more difficult to master. Several tracks from Super Circuit were used as retro tracks later games, and those reimagining look way better. - Mario Kart 7 added underwater and aerial sections, everything else felt forgettable. None of the tracks stood out, the roster was much smaller, the online was too dependant on certain kart parts that you obtained at random and the game had to be patched due to players being able to use shortcuts in one-lap tracks.

Forgotten sequels... that you probably never knew about to begin with because of their limited releases.

WinGroove! Ran like crap on my Pentium 120, but I still enjoyed messing around with it. Eventually got a SB AWE32.

I eventually got a AWE64 but I still used Wingroove for pretty much all of my standalone midi listening. Namely game music recreations.

Rastan 3 looks absolutely amazing. I also enjoy how the death screams sound like when you mess up playing bop it.

Another awesome Game Sack episode! Really liked the idea for this topic. I recently tried out Warrior Blade: Rastan Vs Barbarian on the GameCube, but wasn’t even thinking it was related to the original Rastan. Great video again man!

WINGROOVE! Haven't heard that name in years. Between that and MIDISoft Studio, that's how I got into making electronic music. Thanks for the flashback, Joe! 😂
