Today we try to get a suzuki LT80 / Quad runner ATV running. My buddy dropped off a suzuki lt80, that has been sitting under abandoned a tree outside for as long as he can remember to see if i can get it running. Lets see if we can do this. TheBigShed Episode 11

Gotta pull the parking brake lever up to start it. It will not crank unless you do.

Cheers buddy, but the wiring was shot I had to bridge the switch for the brake behind the front cover and put power direct to the starter

I bought an eBay carb (only 20 bucks!!its an exact copy of the mikuni) for mine as it was sitting for 5 years or so with a torn boot... runs amazing now! It’s my moms from 87 lol

You have to have the park brake on and the key on the park brake is down at the back brake pedal on the right side there’s a handle pull it up and then start

Cheers but the park brake switch has been bypassed on this one.

Jumped the Safety switch on the brake pedal and I put power directly to the starter motor

I have an lt80 and had some carb trouble I put some easy start in it and it toke off and how can you rev it without it taking of on you

Just put the back end on something. Like a milk crate or cat litter box.

peter greaney My handbrake on my Lt50 is like brand new and it’s a 90s model never ever been changed so yours might need to be changed

Can anyone tell me what transmission oil/fluid goes in the engine

It's a 2 stroke, mix 40:1 or 50:1 2 stroke oil with the gas

Mix 32:1 if you’re not using the oil injection system.
